I'm starting a new thread here as nobody has been posting on our old one(s) for a couple of days. Just wondering how everyone is doing (and if there are any new MNers out there who are also SW members--welcome!)
I've been a member since 15 June and am now just one teensy weensy pound away from my very first stone award. But at times it has been an uphill struggle so it's been great to share my journey with everyone here. Would love to hear from everyone else.

It's so good to hear from you all. Kayleigh, don't be ashamed, we all have bad weeks and times when we need to eat more than we want to...and you always have such lovely things to say to people who've slipped up so come on back and let it be your turn to receive those positive vibes! Yorkiegirl that's fab. How far away from your target are you? And Christie with your brilliant loss you've just proved what they always say at SW, you have to eat a lot to lose weight with Food Optimising. Not as much as I did at the beginning though. I was on about 12 Quorn sausages a day just as snacks! I want that pound so badly and so do my boobs in their horrid saggy frumpy bra. I promised them a new one when I had lost a stone. DH thinks that would be good too.

i need some gee-ing up. Been on sw for about 6 weeks and have lost 6lbs so far. it's the best diet i've been on as i am not hungry at all and i test the food optimising stuff out to the LIMIT. I'm a veggie but i eat fish and i have noticed more weight loss when i increase my red days.

trouble is, i've stopped staying for meetings as the leader was a bit dull and the night i go is a real rush for me, with meetings after work, picking dd up, passing her on to our nieighbour and then not getting back from sw until she's been put to bed by dh. And now, i'm not even sure i want to go for the weigh-ins either.

Now i know the principles of the sw diet i'm pretty sure i can live with them esp if i bought a food directory. what do you think? could i go it alone (with a bit of mumsnet support!)? i could get dh to weigh me every week and the shame might just keep me on the straight and narrow.

I'm enjoying losing weight and can see the benefits but now i'm getting p**d off with handing over money just to step on some scales.

Moomin, I know what you mean re uninspiring class consultant. Ours just seems to be getting fatter and fatter, whinges about SW head office and talks in a dull monotone to boot! But, I do find the other group members inspiring so I tend to listen to them more than I listen to her. We always have a good laugh in the group too (before consultant starts boring us)
And I know from previous experience that when I don't come to class each week to be weighed I put my weight straight back on again very quickly so I see it as paying for my week's worth of willpower.
Yorkiegirl, I bought the new Muller Light and it was lush!

I've been overeating quite a lot today and yesterday because I am v busy with work and a bit stressed at the mo. Flushing DS' pants down loo didn't help either!
