11 stone or just under is my ideal weight. Any lower and I just look gaunt. Dh called my skeletor when I dropped really low as I just looked hollow in the face.

I'm 5.10". Was 10 stone in my teens, 11 in my twenties, 12 stone in my thirties. Somehow my weight has shot up to over 15 stone in my early forties ShockSad

I have three small children and eating badly and now hardly moving in lockdown.

Anyhoo, to answer your question, I'd be really happy now to be 13 stone as I have quite a good hourglass figure that suits a bit of weight.

Now to work out how to get there...!

I'm 5'11 . I went down to 10 stone 5 at one point. I looked so Ill but for reason I felt so big. Anyway I put weight on and I'm now at 12 stone 3ish. I carry it quite well , large hips and boobs. But I do want to get down to 11 and half at some point.

I'm 5ft 10in and weigh 9.4. I'm certainly not skeletol and usually a 10 in clothes.

Below 9, I look gaunt, the most I've weighed is almost 11 stone and was struggling to get in to a size 12.

I’m 10 stone 2 but like to be 9 stone 10. I look fit and athletic at the lower weight and definitely not gaunt

So interesting reading these!

The lowest I’ve been is about ten stone 5. I was tiny. Absolutely tiny.

I think everyone must just carry weight differently.

At 11.12 ish now I feel okay but I’ll be happier at 11 I think.

Mussels I'm 5'8" too and 9 stone, I agree with you I feel huge at anything over 9 and a half stone. I'm a long distance runner too, I run 120km a week so have a lot of muscle, I don't look skinny at all.

Im 5ft10, i got up to 15st after dd was born. Since end of april ive got down to 13st 8. My build does not follow the bmi weights/recommendation AT ALL. If i dropped to 9st something i would genuinely look ill and skeltal. Im planning on getting to 12-12.5st and ill go from how i look/feel as opposed to focusing on just weight at that point. I do carry my weight well, but i think ill be happy at 12st.

I am 6ft so not too much taller than you. I am in my 50’s now and very overweight. After having DD I went down to 13 stone and looked really good. Personally, I wouldn’t want to be much less than this as I have big boobs, hips and big shoulders but I can look gaunt facially and its ageing. Years ago a woman I worked with older than me but the same height and build as me also used to look very ill and too gaunt when she went to 12 stone.

I'm 5ft11. Looking to lose some weight at the moment and my goal is 12st. I weighed 10.5 stone when I was a student and I think I looked ill then. My sister now says she worried about me at the time! I think I look best at about 11.5st, but since giving birth that feels difficult to achieve...

Same height. Anything over 10st feels fat to me (takes me up to a size 12). Spent most of my life at 9st 7 which is fine. 9st 4 was too thin, I just felt really feeble. I’m a slight build, even postpartum I was only 11st, and only really have curves on my bum. —I used to have boobs but the baby ate them—

I’m 5’10 and my ‘happy weight’ is 11st 7lbs. I was in hospital for 3 weeks a few years ago and was NBM and my weight dropped to 10st 8lbs....I looked awful and so much older (I was 32 at the time)

Oh and if I put on weight it goes on my tummy. Nowhere else! I wouldn’t mind at all if it was more evenly distributed

I’m 5’10” and 11 stone 11 and a comfortable size 12 (40, two DC). I was 10 stone as a teen and a size 8. I used to be asked not to lose weight at pill check ups by the nurse. I’d quite like to be 11 stone but really what I need to do is exercise to tone myself.

I agree that there’s lots of variation in how you carry weight and the taller you are the wider this is (just like the BMI charts, really).

This is interesting to read - I am just below you at 5 ft 9. I am currently high 12 low 13 stone after various battles which have taken me up into 15 stone +.

I need to lose another stone ish to be into what is a healthier weight. It feels more doable than it has in years.

I’m 5’11. After kids went up to 12st 10lb and felt big, I was only size 14 but carried the weight in my face and my arms.

A bout of anxiety last year got me to 10st 3lb and I looked ill. Currently sitting at around 10st 10lb and the goal is 11st, maybe a bit more.

I'm 5'10 and a half and have put half a stone on in lockdown, now a very large size 12 and 11 and a half stone.
My body seems to like being 11 stone and the times I have got down to my 'ideal' weight of 10 stone 10,i have to be so careful with what I eat and can't maintain so always go back to 11.
A few years ago I was 10stone 4 and looked so ill (but was going through divorce).

I agree that there’s lots of variation in how you carry weight and the taller you are the wider this is (just like the BMI charts, really).

That’s interesting. I definitely know women who are my height and probably a full four stone heavier than me and just look healthy and strong. Whereas four stone difference at 5ft is much more significant.

For me about 11.5 stone, I have been substantially more (17 stone at my heaviest) and less (10 stone at my lowest), but for me 11.5 is sustainable, is within the healthy weight range, and looks better. I did look really unwell actually when I was 10 stone, and although I didn't feel terrible, I only got there by severely restricting calories and being very, very active- too much so.

I'm 5'10", just over 11 stone and happy with my weight. Size 14 (or 12 in supermarket clothes).
