So today is day 1, I've just taken my before pictures had a little cry and weighed myself.

I've got 3.5 stone to lose and then some more that I'll assess when I get there.
Because I WILL get there!

Starting off with calorie counting, no choc/crisps and either a bike ride or c25k every evening after dc2 goes to sleep. And will tweak as necessary as I go.

I'm planning on posting here A LOT as dh is less than helpful and tbh is he's annoying me during lock down so I'll probably moan about him here too!

Feel free to join in, share tips, try stay sane and on track. Halo

@RedScarf well done! I'm on a similar road but a few months down the line as I've now lost a stone and a half and upped my exercise significantly. I've still got over a stone to go but feeling motivated to keep going. I think starting is the hardest part so stick with it and just take it one day at a time.

That's a great loss!

I'm even more determined now as dh has just told me he weighs the same as me! ConfusedSadAngry

Well done @RedScarf

I lost a shedload — it's an official quantity, ya know Grin — in my late 40s. I'm on maintenance now but I'm training for a competition and, like you, I don't get to eat any shit Blush It would help me greatly to have an active thread to post on, so that we can share our tips, ups and downs Smile

I'm starting again today after pigging a huge bar of choc yesterday and then feeling sorry for myself because I've not lost weight! Officially the heaviest I've ever been and want to lose at least 2 st. Am doing WW but eating healthily and upping exercise which is currently non existent. I always stick to things for a week then cave in, need to woman up so I can fit in all those summer clothes (from 4 yrs ago) and feel good about myself again.
I'm with you red scarf.

Ok first of all .. what choc was it @Zazu44 Grin

I actually wrote a reply earlier but it's not showing now for some reason so I'm writing it again just in case..

My day has gone well! I've got a whole daily checklist and I can nearly tick them all off. Woo!

I’m on a couple of other threads on here about weight loss but the more the merrier I think!

When I started I had 3 stone to lose and am 13lbs down since January - 7lbs of them being since April.

So 2 stone to go for me. I’m calorie counting and exercising daily.

Good luck!

How many calories a day are you having? And what exercise? Thanks x

Well done @redscarf.
Joining too. Have about 3 stone to lose and seem to put weight on every time I step on the scales even though I've been walking a lot more since lockdown began (but probably eating way too much too)

I did it I rode a bike for an hour! Wooo...

Wow @lovinglavidaloca that's fantastic! Second the how many cals and exercise question

I've ticked every single goal for day one so I'm feeling pretty proud.. just got to keep it up... I'd love to be able to fit in my wedding dress by September (I could barely fit in it on my actual wedding day so 5 year anniversary seems a good target)

@ohcorona have you done any lock down baking?!

Luckily I'm shit at cooking so haven't even attempted to bake anything and the kids know not to bother asking! Grin

Yep and my DH too. He made Malteaser cheesecake which was amazing. Plus marshmallow roll (x2) and caramel shortcake.
I've made cupcakes which were really, really nice. We've had my birthday, my DH's birthday, Easter and my DD's birthday is there has been lots of cake.
I've also ate the leftover condensed milk out of the tin....wtaf is wrong with me ?? No wonder I can't lose any weight when I write it all down like that !

I've just started today too, would love to join in with this thread. I'm using mfp and trying to hit 10k steps a day. In 2017 I weighed 2 stone less than I do now and I felt pretty good, though bmi wise I could do with losing more than that but it's my first target. Anyone any yummy low cal meals planned for tomorrow?

Weighed myself today and not as heavy as I thought I was but still have a lot to lose. Ideally 5 stone but will aim for 3 as that seems more realistic and will get back to the weight I was when I was pregnant with my first (he is 3.5 now). I had great plans this lockdown to do exercise everyday, hahaha, who was I kidding. DH has sorted out our bikes and starting tomorrow taking the kids out on bikes. Not going to be too hard on myself, two toddlers, man child, step daughter and working full time, but determined to get myself into shape and get myself into all the lovely clothes I have gathering dust 😂

Hi can I join this chat? Like you, I have about 3. 5 St to lose and finding the thought of it overwhelming. -doesn't help that I'm pretty much addicted to crisps-- I'm lucky to live on a Scottish island so no excuse not to walk or cycle. Good luck everyone!

I'll pop in if you don't mind

I find it really helps to post what I've eaten - makes me accountable! I'm loosely doing the 16/8 but tbh found it tough for some reason the past couple of days.

Greek yog and low sugar apple compote
Loads of coffee

Leftover chicken parma, roast potatoes, big bowl of lentil, ham and veg soup

Dinner was small rack of ribs, a sausage, mash, carrots.

Usually have wine but we've run-out, thankfully!

I'd like to join please. I've three stone to lose. Would like to start post-divorce dating but don't feel confident at this weight. I've shed nearly half a stone in the last three weeks by MFP calorie counting plus 30 Day Shred and Joe Wicks most days. I've tried and failed to lose this weight so many times but feel determined this time. Could really use the moral support.

I'm in.
I currently weight 15st 2lbs down from nearly 16st at my heaviest.
I have started running jogging slowly and I'm trying to get out every day.
I live in the middle of the lake district, I have loads of places to walk- but hate walking up hills 🤔 so that narrows it down ever so slightly 😂

My Samsung health app shout at me everyday for being under my calorie goal- it reckons I need 2144kcal a day to maintain my current weight - I eat about 1500-1700kcal on an eating alot day minus the exercise that I do which could be 1000kcal walking up a bastard fell I've got too big of a calorie deficite and apparently I need to eat more. I cant eat more I'm not hungry 🙄.

So far, so good for me today. I've had some fruit for breakfast and I've just realised that I haven't broken off for lunch yet Shock, so I'm off downstairs to address that.

I did a tough legs workout with my trainer earlier and I'm feeling pretty good. It's very essential that I keep on the straight and narrow: deadlines loom!

Wishing everyone good luck, one day at a time Smile

Hi can I join the club? I've just weighed myself and I've got 3st 6lb to lose... Waaaah!!

I am an absolute chocoholic and so that's going to be the toughest part for me. I lost about 2 stone last year and felt good but its all back on now which is frustrating. I get out with the dog everyday but also take my 4 year old which means it not exactly a brisk walk. But I'm going to start doing some exercise at home too so hopefully I'll get rid of some of the timber soon!

I hope everyone's having a good day today? Food wise I'm doing well but I know I need to drink more water.

Had a good day here, good brisk walk this evening, only about 3 miles but considering I'm normally lay up on the sofa consuming hundreds of cals every night it's a step in the right direction. Finishing up about 1300 cals. Feeling determined
