I didn’t quite realise how bad I was but since lockdown I can see my eating patterns clearly.
I thought I had an issue with wanting to overeat carbs, namely bread, but no. I have no interest in bread without butter. I’ve noticed lots of things are only tasty to me because I slather butter on them, without the butter I’m not particularly interested.
I also don’t really eat that much. My problem is I’m gaining a large number of my calories through aforementioned butter slathering.
Breakfast is usually a bite of the kids toast or a mouthful of and tea (no sugar). But then I tend to snack on bits and pieces instead of lunch. So bread with butter and a piece of ham, crackers with butter and cheese etc. Dinner I only have a tiny bit of food and yet I’m about 7lb too heavy at the moment (BMI 26).
No fizzy drinks, no alcohol, I mainly drink tea in the day with skimmed milk.
My question is what can I replace the butter with? I don’t like the feeling of being full so I tend to eat tiny portions of things. But those things are calorific!!!! 🤦🏻♀️
