Has to be instant, not some fancy thing I have to prepare. Healthy is ideal, but I'm also prepared to eat a one or two nasty processed 'diet' snacks in the short term IF they taste good enough to help me give up the endless chocolate I've been stuffing down.

Particularly interested in stuff to beat sugar cravings

I love celery with dairylea & a grape on top

Also fruit pastille lollies are lovely too!

Chocolate mousse is tasty & low in fat if you manage to get the right brand!

FFF2, can you recommend a good choc mousse? Tried the weightwatchers one the other day and had some real chocolate straight afterwards blush

Trouble is I'm a green&black's addict so anything else just tastes like sugar

Thanks all for the other suggestions - some great ones here

fireflyfairy2 Sat 15-Sep-07 15:18:42

I've had M&S ones & Tesco ones & they were both lovely

Stay away from chocolate anything except hot chocolate drinks - it's too moreish! Pineapple cottage cheese on ryvita is lovely. M& S cottage cheese is nice. Can buy low cal version but I always go for full fat - not much difference and tastes nicer.

G&B do these tiny little wrapped squares of chocolate - about 4.5g each.

I'm quite happy to have just one of these (plain chocolate) as a special treat. I'd rather have that than something larger supposed to be pseudo chocolate lookalikey thing.

franch Sun 16-Sep-07 15:12:42

Thanks all.

roisin you have more self-control than me grin

definitely recommend M&S count on us chocolate mousses, and I'm not really a mousse fan! What about low fat ice cream with a small bit of chocolate or chocolate sauce on top, or marshmallows?

Sheherazadethegoat Sun 16-Sep-07 15:28:05

oatcakes, fruit, dried fruit

normal hot chocolate with skimmed milk (drink it by the gallon and still managed to lose weight)

Options choc drinks- I sued to have one instead of dessert each night

Dip berries ion dark melted G&B- yummy

Lidl do these iced fruit sundae things in their freezer section that WW Instructor used to rave about, delicious- also those frozen fresli desserts

I also find coco pops a good low fat substitute for a choccie fix! But has to be Kellogs, not cheap cardboardy stuff!
