Week 40 is here
And those choc bars are banished.
We'll just eat fresh air -
But our tyres will have vanished!!!

Going my hols next week, so won't be weighing for two (maybe three ) weeks! Then will need all the help and support to get rid of the holiday bulge!

but you've gained me! due to the demise of the Lactating Losers thread. I don't like the bit of the poem about banning choc bars though, sorry Muminamillion. a bit too drastic

Ok fennel, I'll try something a little less harsh next week, more to encourage than terrify! Hope you are ok! (I've been very bad, just had a curry and nan bread - very delicious mmmmm - but did refuse the pudding!).

hi muminamillion. have just been to my 2 year old neice's birthday party. Wine, crisps, choc cake and choc biscuit cake (3 pieces of the last). am hoping that breastfeeding will use up all this calorie intake

Ooooh, could be a meeting of Overeaters Anonymous in here tonight, I've had a curry with nan bread too!

BR - I have to buy new scales too but will only buy them if I weigh less on them than on current ones

Report
MUMINAMILLION · 04/10/2004 09:58

Br, I started weighing myself on my mum's scales for a while. They showed that I had miraculously lost 10lbs and I felt so much thinner - I even looked far thinner!! But went back to my old scales and found I hadn't actually lost an ounce - and instantly felt and looked really huge again. Maybe you only look as large as the scales you are using say you are.....

Good for you YG

MIAM what's happened?

Haven't the faintest idea where I am!! Will have to resurrect my old scales so I can check exactly what I weigh and start using the new scales....

Dont know BR. I have not been really seriously dieting for the last couple of weeks - hence the 1 off, 1 on, 2 off, 1 on cycle! Cant seem to sort my head out and get organised. Plus, I've got a big dinner/dance coming up which I HAVE to lose weight for, but as soon as I feel pressurised to do it, I eat my head off!!

I just need a really good, hard kick up the backside. Will anyone oblige?

I think it's the change in the weather MIAM. I've found it easy over the summer while I've been able to have copious quantities of things like melon and strawberries - but now we're definately into Autumn I'm finding I really want Autumn foods, and it's a lot harder to say no to them when they're offered. Right now I desperately want buttered toasted crumpets. And parsnips roasted with honey. And I know I mustn't have them

Crumpets are not too bad actually Lunarsea - we have some Tescos Value ones which are 1 pt each, spread with a tsp of WW jam: One of my fave snacks atm.

I'm really cross, because I've been fairly level for quite a while, being really strict with the diet to try and get a last couple of lbs off. It wasn't happening, so I've joined the gym: Been going 3 times a week, and quite enjoying it, and feel fitter/healthier/more energetic ... BUT I weigh more

Report
MUMINAMILLION · 05/10/2004 10:26

Doesn't muscle weigh heavier than fat though? So, although you may weigh initially more, you will no doubt have lost inches.

LS - if my lack of dieting is due to the change in the weather - is there any hope for the rest of the winter??? By the time my dinner-dance comes, I will be 50 stone!
