Cambridge Diet / 1:1 diet, anyone? 2020 targets?

Hi all, does anybody want to buddy up through weight loss journey? I'm feeling really positive. I have 6 stone to loose in order to qualify for any fertility treatment.

I'm on sole source, step one. Sticking to shakes this week. Might have some "meals" next week. Might treat myself to a bar next month.

I feel like the bars could be a slippery slope
for me... I prefer cutting all solids out.

Yes I know, not the healthiest diet long term.. I have no intention of gaining it all back. It's not for everybody, please be nice :) I need a kick start.

Hi, yes I have 6 stone to lose in total.
Today is my first day on CWP. I don't normally eat breakfast so had a strawberry shake for lunch and leek and potato soup for dinner, going to have a bar this evening.

Hi @dietdogooder I'm glad it's not only me! I'm just doing shakes this week, is weight loss still good with bars? I'm worried having bars will be a slippery slope to waiting normal food but maybe I'm over thinking it :D

Apparently the bars are fine and I could have 3 a day if I wanted...
I only got one as a test as thought it might make me want to chew more but it hasn't, it tasted delicious and was really satisfying (for half an hour, now I still want to eat my own arm!Hmm)

@dietdogooder I've actually woken up not hungry. I think i might get some for next week.
I did this diet ten years ago and did only shakes. I lost 6 stone in 6 months.
Than I tried again like 3 years ago, and it was so much harder and I thought that might have been because of the meals like spaghetti bolognese, made me miss food more.
I don't know what to do. I might push through until I fancy something than have a bar...

I also have 6 stone to lose and started (again!) last week. I am terrible for weighing though, so am weighing at least twice a day Shock

I don't think I could do just the shakes though, I quite like the bars because it makes me feel like I am having food so I don't miss it as much if you see what I mean? My favourite is the lemon one. I also really like the strawberry and cherry smoothies and the caramel bites.

I am going on holiday in August, so that is my goal (to not be fat next to all those skinny elegant Italian women!!)

My goal is go get pregnant or hit weight so they will let me have some sort of fertility treatment. What ever comes first. So I'm soooo determined. I think I'll give bars a go next week. I keep thinking itll slow weight loss or make me crave real food more. But I suppose I'm being silly cos they are still the same calories, it's still a calorie defect.
I've just come on, so I only have the chocolate shakes for comfort :(

Hi @westhill11 what stage are you on? Day 5 that means you're almost certainly in ketosis, how do you feel ?

Hi. I'm on day 6, get weighed tomorrow. I would like to join in this chat. I'm having 4 products a day and have found this week was really easy food wise, just a few headaches and a bit lacking in energy until day 4. I think I'm in ketosis as I don't feel hungry at all.

Hi @westhill11 you are right it definitely gets easier. I lost 7lbs and 1.5 inches off my waist. I was super chuffed. Anyone else been weighed yet? I tired the macaroni last night, it was horrid! Lol. I'm having porridge, shake, soup and then bar, I like the other products. Got spag bowl to try later in the week. Anyone got any suggestions for drinks?

Day 4 for me today and my consultant is coming. I was due to see her Sunday but because I find the meals grim she is coming to swap products so I have shakes and bars and nothing else.
I have however stuck to plan 100%. Day 2 was the hardest with a headache and hunger all day but today I feel refreshed and excited about having the bars lol.
I have opted to weigh in today and then weekly from now on. I realise I won't have much of a loss if any but nervous to see the scales after 4 days...

Hey all, I'm day 4 and I can't believe how much more engery i have today! I'm size 20 and I have the craving to run! What's that about?
I just realised I just watched an episode of come dine with me, and I didn't think about their food! What's that about ?!?
Maybe it's cos the sun is shining.
Yesterday, I felt like mud.
I'm just doing shakes this week, but plan to have the bars and meals next week. Any recommendations?

After 4 days, no matter what itll be a loss. I'm trying to work out where to set mini targets, like ever 10 pounds, I get a reward. But I'm not sure what the reward would be, I relie on food so much. Maybe a new candle or something lol

That’s super fab. If you like spicy food, like myself- pour chilli flakes on to food!! Close your eyes.. get the water ready .... and yum!!! Lol
I had to swap food packets today with my consultant!
The porridge is the only thing I have eaten all day! Not hungry!! At all xxxx

Hi,

I'm on day 3 and I've been super hungry since 3 am!I've got 3.5 stone to lose. I'm on step 2 so I do get to eat some real food but I find I'm hungrier after I've eaten it!

I've stuck to plan but I'm so worried that I won't have lost anything at weigh in on Monday.

Well done everyone for doing so well xx

That's amazing @MrsHufflepuf. You are doing so well.
The veg soup is good, it has croutons in it so makes it feel like you are eating something. And I like all the bars apart from the peanut one.
Has anyone tried any of the meals, I tried spag bowl which was OK. But feel I need more variety.

Hi all, please can I jump in? Been on Cambridge since Monday so this is day 5. So far I've been impressed with the food/shakes and I've stuck to it (bar a bit of milk for my brews).

I've not weighed myself, however they give you a ribbon that you tie around your waist and snip at the exact point it meets - since day 1 it's about an inch and a half down!

Just go add I also have 5/6 stone to loose!! I'm fed up of looking at myself in the mirror and have somebody else look back at me!!
