Anyone want to be weight loss fwends? 10lbs to lose..!

I’ve been living off Brie and chocolate since December began and I’ve put weight on. Currently 9st4lbs and I want to be 8st10lbs.
Anyone with me!?

Going to try calorie counting but open to suggestions. I currently eat far to much crap which is the root of the problem.

Oh and I’m throwing all the Christmas food out tomorrow!! All of it! Biscuits, celebrations, fancy cheese, cakes...EVERYTHING!

@Wellerr I'll be your friend - starting with the good news that 9st4 - - > 8st 10 is only 8lbs!
I am 10 stone and I'm happy at 9st 3 or 4 so 10lbs off will do nicely. I'm doing dry January which should help, also trying to avoid eating crap in the evenings. I started NYD with a shuffle round parkrun so that was a good start.

I will also be your friends. Am 11 stone and need to be 10 to be back to my comfortable happy self. Fed up with tight clothes after putting weight on recently.
No tempting Xmas food left thankfully...

Yes yes please smile I am 9.12 and want to shed some lbs so 10 would be great!

I have been running and not drinking but I think eating the extra calories.

Yes pls - I'm about 10.5 and need to get to 9.5 to feel good again after having two kids. How are you all planning on doing it? Is Dry Jan a good way to start...?

Started the year with a walk/run and will just be aiming to eat under 1600cals a day, planning for 1200 but allowing for the odd social occasion or slip up!

I'll join, I'm exactly the same weight as you and want to get to roughly 8st 12. I've started with 1500 calories today and making sure I get lots of steps in with wintery walks and exercise.

I’m aiming for 1200 calories today and trying to cut out bread and cereal etc, eat more fruit and veg and do more walking. Considered 5:2 but I don’t think I could manage the fasting days..!

Fed up of all my clothes being tight and having a muffin top! I’ve always been naturally slim and eaten whatever I want - 3 kids and age seems to have changed my metabolism though and I really REALLY struggle to stick to a diet, hence why the weight is just creeping on and on.

Good luck everyone!! We can do this!! I’m going to put batteries in my scales and go off those from now on, so I’ll post my official weigh in later today! Then going to weigh in every Monday I think.

Having the kids off school is really not helping - I tend not to eat breakfast during the week but that doesn't work when they are having leisurely breakfast lasting all morning. I had one piece of toast and an apple so far. They want to bake this afternoon...confused

I’ve had a fruit corner, but then whilst I was throwing all the Christmas food out I ate a scone without even thinking 😭
It’s all gone now though!! Jacket spud for lunch.

Keep feeling my tummy to see if I’m slim again yet grin

I have a yummy recipe for tea tonight - Chinese pork chops with roasted sweet potato and pak choi. I do ok with food when I have time to plan it, my downfall is slapping something from the freezer in the oven which tends to be beige food. Then I need to not snack after dinner. I think the 16:8 idea might work for me, I don't tend to eat breakfast anyway and a curfew on evening snacking can only be a good thing!

I can I join aswel please. Im currently 10st and want to be 8st but starting off with small goals. I have started intermittent fasting 16:8 and try to be as active as possible.

This thread is making me feel quite big! As I'm 9 stone 11 down from 11 stone last year!

I know I shouldn't compare as we're all different heights/builds.

It's going to be so hard after Christmas.

I've just been eating whatever I want since Xmas Eve, hardly any proper meals and just snacking on chocolate, crisps, nuts, cheese then ordering takeaway.

I was doing so well before Christmas but have gone right back into my old habits.

Can I join too? I’d like to lose a stone. Currently 9st 10lb.

Always been naturally slim and could eat what I wanted and weight just levelled out, but since hitting 40s, and especially mid/late-40s, the scales just seem to be creeping up and up!

I love exercise classes but I’m scuppered by finding the time (new job, going from p/t to f/t). I could definitely do with cutting back on alcohol too!

Had some success last year with my fitness pal - so will try that again. And also the Kayla Itsine’s beach body guide (but fitting that in feels impossible!)

Hopefully having buddies will spur me on to keep things consistent!

Well done everyone on today! I'm trying to up my protein and reduce my carbs and keep up my exercise. 139lbs today, I'm 5'6 but have a really small frame so def got body fat to lose.

B - 2 egg omelette with red onions and tomato, toasted english muffin (no butter or oil except 1 spray of fry light)

S - protein shake (phd diet whey)

L - Chicken salad pita bread (loads of chicken, no butter/oil)

Salmon veg and brown rice for tea.

5k walk/run earlier

I’m on 1570 today which is because of the scone....(!).

Seriously hungry though...just because they’ve been the wrong calories. Going to have a petit filous or the hunger will keep me up! Shopping tomorrow I’ll get a bit more protein in.

I started on the 27th. Not because I'm some virtuous angel but because I go to Mexico on 20th Jan!! Ideally could do with shifting 10lb before then but 7lb will do!

Downloaded My Fitness Pal - have used it successfully before, and am sticking to 1000-1200 cals a day. We're also trying to eat less meat - DH concerned about his health and I can kind of take or leave meat so works for me!

Was 12st 3.5lb on 27th and was 11.13 this morning. Hoping to be 11.12 tomorrow!!
