Anyone else doing OMAD?

So I’ve been eating low carb/bsd for a while and naturally doing 16:8 but weight proving slow to get rid of. Knew about If/OMAd but actually tried this week...well I can’t beleive how easy the last 4 days have been, I’ve had massive filling meals in the evenings, incl carbs and lost 6lb so far in 4 days! I actually think I’ve found something that really works!!

Anyone doing OMAd or share success stories so far?

As in One Meal A Day?

Of course you'll lose weight by not eating enough calories to sustain your body.

It's called starvation - and probably not what I'd call sustainable if you want to be healthy and/or alive in the long term 🤔

Nothing wrong with OMAD, there's many studies proving it's a very healthy and advantageous way to eat. Look them up.
It's great you find it easy op, good luck with your weight loss!

In the short term yes, I'm sure it does.

But as a life long thing I'm not so sure. Meals would need to be VERY carefully balanced to ensure your body is getting all the calories and nutrients it needs.

grin Don't worry blue, if there is one thing we overweight people don't have to worry about, it's our bodies not getting enough calories.

That's great that you find it easy OP. I wouldn't say I find it easy, but it's easier than having a days calories over 3 meals (I'm doing the fast 800 diet). Divide 800 in to 3, you have 3 very unsatisfying meals. Divide it in to 3 meals and 1—2 snacks, the portions become so small they practically disappear. Omad really satisfies and fills me up by comparison.

I'm also overweight and a serial dieter who had found "the" sustainable plan 10x over. It's always easy way first but not necessarily healthy!

It's not so much the calories is be worried about it's getting adequate fats, proteins and vitamins.

Downudder So couple of examples of the meals I’ve had-

huge multi leaf salad, whole bag with added cucumber, red pepper, vine toms and a small advocado, 4 egg omlette with mushrooms and full fat cheese cheddar made with whole milk and a bowl of pasta bol.

2 salmon fillets, on (whole packet) lemon couscous with pomegranate seeds mixed in, half a tub of Greek yogurt with strawberries, blueberries and mixed nuts and finished up with a chopped apple with a tbl spn of 100% peanut butter

I’ve drank water but also continued drinking my tea with whole milk in and sweeteners- I was worried what affect that’d have but doesn’t seem to be.

I’ve started taking a omega 3 fish oil and a multi vit also.
