Cut down alcohol - sugar munchies!(2 Posts)
I did "Sober September" and have (mainly) limited myself to a glass or two of wine over a weekend in October and want to continue on this path but OMG - the sugar munchies!
I can't get enough of tangy haribo!!
Help! Apart from binning all the sweets and chocolate in the house, what should I do?
I have some sense of what you mean. I usually allow myself a small 100 ml glass of wine most days, either before a late lunch or dinner.
Its a small pleasure I don't deny myself most of the time. Though there are days I don't fancy it so don't have it. It probably does add up to 1 - 1 1/2 bottles a week, which is not negligible (in terms of calories). But I do think I would eat more sweet things without it, so I know what you mean. I think its worth bearing in mind about "cutting it down" and I may do that in the future, as you say cutting it down to weekend. So its something to think about for me. At the moment I'm eating pretty well, I'm losing weight and so will stay as I am for a while anyway.
Incidentally, I do WeightWatchers online, and really quite enjoying it - easy phone app really helps and takes the thinking out of things, and its very flexibile, includes wine etc.
But to my mind, whatever you do, do what works and makes you happy is of foremost importance.
