I am starting a vlcd using exante and slim and save. Want to lose 2 stone to be a healthy weight again. Is anyone currently doing a vlcd or planning to start and want to join me? Today is my day 1!!

How’s it going @Summerbody? I’m just waiting on my Exante delivery and I’ll be starting (probably tomorrow) I have about 5-6 stone to lose overall but hoping for 2 by Christmas. What’s your goal by Christmas or are you just going to see how it goes?

How are you both getting on? Day 1 on Exante for me, going fine. I know what to expect as I’ve done it before. Plan to do it for 4 weeks which is when I’ve got a Christmas party to go to. Then I plan on starting couch to 5K to prevent the weight creeping back on too much over Christmas. I know exercise is the only way I’ll keep the weight off long term but hoping 4 weeks on exante will get me out of my food rut and help me feel a bit better about getting my running gear on.

What are your motivations and plans Milbo and Summerbody?

Hi @PrudenceDudence how have you found day 1? I’m on day 5 now and have lost 10lbs so far so that’s been pretty motivating! I know lots of it is water weight but seeing the scales move helped me get through the first few days. Good luck!

Wow 10 lbs is a great motivation to keep going Milbo have you got a lot to lose? Are you planning on doing exante until you reach your goal? I’m on day 3 and all going well so far. Just taking it one day at a time.

@Summerbody, @Milbo and @PrudenceDudence can I join please?

I started Exante on 18th Sept and was doing pretty well but then I got ill and never regained control 🤦🏽‍♀️

Starting again today and hoping to lose at least 2 stone by the end of Jan when we go to Disney as this will take me into a healthy BMI.

How is everyone finding it?
I find once I'm through the first few days I'm ok, it's just committing to being day 1 (already failed on Monday and Tuesday!) and keeping away from food completely as once I have a taste of anything my mindset goes to "abit more won't hurt" 🥺

@PrudenceDudence I’m 17.7 today and want to get to 12 so yes lots to lose. Two babies and too many cakes later. I am aiming for at least 2 stone by Christmas. I’m going to stay on 800 until I get to 15 stone and then might move to 1200 to slow things a bit and try to avoid too much loose skin.

Hi @feellikezerobucks I’ve been finding it ok so far. I did Cambridge before and zero food was hard, it definitely helps to have some real food during the day. I’m not finding the cravings too bad, which surprised me. I’ve been lucky I haven’t had many side effects yet. I’m just finding my way trying to find the shakes etc that I like. How’s it going for you?

Hi all have just started with Shake that Weight. Just finished day 3 and quite enjoying it so far

Day 4 done, just finished my sweet and sour noodles. Will have a cup of peppermint tea and then that’s me done for the day. Finding it ok just boring.

Milbo are you doing 4 sachets a day or 2/3 and a small meal. I think your goal of two by Christmas is definitely doable. I’m hoping for a stone and a half by 7 Dec when I’ve got a party to go to. Going to have Sat as my official weigh in day so will report how the first 5 days have gone then.

Feellike I always find commuting to day 1 the hardest part too, a few days in and it’s much easier. Great that you’ve got Disney as your goal.

bingandflop I haven’t heard of Shake that Weight, what does it involve?

Keep going ladies we can do this!!!!

@bingandflop how are you finding it?

@PrudenceDudence tomorrow is my weigh day so I’ll report back, I had a sneaky look today and haven’t lost since yesterday so we’ll see. I’m a sucker for daily weighing. How did you find the sweet and sour noodles? I wasn’t a fan. I ordered a bit of everything to give it all a try so I know which ones I like.

@feellikezerobucks thanks! Glad you’re feeling good, the first week was much better than I expected. I think keeping on top of the water and having a bisto daily to replace salts helped loads. I did Cambridge a few years ago and felt like death during the first week.

Well done Milbo that is amazing an a great incentive ti stick with it. I weighed this morning and 7lbs off since Monday, would have loved a pound or two more but still pretty good.

I’m planning to break for a few meals out but will try and stick to low cab foods. I’m meeting friends for dinner on Monday evening so will have a salad, have already checked out the menu!

Hope everyone’s doing ok. Weekend’s are always that bit harder!

Can I join Smile I haven't weighed in yet as I know I'm the heaviest that I've ever been. Thinking about Exante, what do all think?

@PrudenceDudence 7lbs is great, well done. I’ve got a few Christmas meals out in December so planning to do the same. I nearly caved tonight as the DC and DH has pizza but I’m here with my choc orange bar still 100% on track. I made it to a stone off this morning so I need to stick with it.

@sandwiches77 Hi, I’d recommend Exante, some of the meals are a bit ropey in my opinion but once you find the things you like it’s actually really doable. The results are great and I don’t find myself feeling too hungry. Once you get through the first 4 days or so it becomes second nature and the cravings etc tend to mostly subside. Good luck.

I hit 1 stone off yesterday on day 11 so losses have slowed a tiny bit but I’m still really happy with that. How’s everyone finding it? I had my first real side effects yesterday- felt so tired and weak but today I’m good again.

Hi, i just (re)started Slim N Save today. I would love some company! I lost 12 kg earlier this year and then went on summer holiday and since, have pt it all on again. I feel crushed and hopeless and would really like to get back on the wagon! x

Well I failed the original attempt, but restarted and on day 2 today, although I fasted yesterday to get in ketosis quicker. I actually binned the scales after the last fail because they weren't accurate, but I've ordered some new ones which will be here at some point today, so I will weigh tomorrow. It won't be a proper start weight but it'll do!
Hows everyone getting on?

Hello,

I'd love some friends please. I am on day 12 of Exante. 12lbs down at the end of the first week and I'm due to weigh again on Thursday morning at the end of my week 2. Starting weight was 19st 8lbs - the less said about that, the better! I am feeling good just now, my skin and eyes have a new sparkle to them, must be all the vitamins and 3l water per day!

I did CWP 9 years ago and lost about 5 stone, but didn't keep it off because I'm an idiot.

I am in the zone just now and feeling positive. I feel properly in ketosis. I am waking up feeling good and rested and not like death after having sunk a-n-o-t-h-e-r tub of Ben & Jerrys the previous evening.

Today's meals:-

  • White choc and raspberry bar, 10.45am
  • Mushroom soup (not recommended!), 2pm
  • Cottage cheese, 2.30pm

-Toffee & caramel shake (warm, like a hot chocolate), 7.15pm

Only 1l water so far today.

How is everyone doing?

Hi @Myusername2015, keep going, you'll feel so much better in a few days. What have you had shake/soup wise today? What are your plans for tomorrow? Are you allowed any actual food on Cambridge?

Hey everyone, sounds like everyone’s on track, it’s so tough isn’t it but worth it. I’m on day 18 and I’m 18lbs down so it’s slowing a bit. I bumped into a friend today who noticed I’d lost weight which was a nice feeling as the novelty has truly worn off now as there’s only a few products I can stomach.

@Milbo and @lilydaisyrose they are both fantastic losses, well done!!!!

I'm starting day 2 but already feel so much better.

I like the idea of a warm shake, will try that later 👍🏻
