100 days....

Will take me from now til Christmas Day.
I'm posting here for accountability.

No chocolate, cakes, biscuits, sweets, crisps, nuts, desserts, cider Hmm

Focus will be on 2/3 nutritious meals daily and hopefully going cold turkey on all the crap will make it easier to manage.

I'm not capable of having "A little bit" or "just one". So this is the plan. 100 days.

I'll weigh in tomorrow and take my measurements and aim to do this every 10 days.

And we're off! Grin

Morning @Hopefullysmart

Can I join you, I need to do this too.

I will be doing the same as you, healthy meals and no crap. Unfortunately I can't just have one biscuit or one slice of cake. It's all or nothing so I'm just going to have to go cold turkey. I also have a Diet Coke addiction which needs to stop.

I have to lose a couple of stone. I just weighed myself and I am 10'13. I am 5'3 and carry all the weight around my middle so I actually look really big to the point that I don't recognise myself when I see my reflection in shop windows.

Hi pixigiggles of course you can!

I've tried so many strategies and they seem doable for a few weeks but just too easy to derail, so hopefully this works for us.

I guess strategies like 16:8 fasting will come into play too if there's no snacking...

We're 1/3 way through day 1 already and I don't know about you but it's been pretty easy so far GrinWink

Meant to say, I also get the not recognising yourself in shop windows...I'm always disappointed as I feel not bad when leaving the house most days.

Your starting weight is actually pretty near my target weight...Blush

Regardless, I'm doing it!! Grin

Can I jump on? 11 3 this morning and 5’ 1.5 so a good 2 stone to lose. Heathy eating, 10,000 steps and daily stretching is in the plan. Also going to do one Christmas preparation item a day to try and keep me focused even if it’s only checking battery stocks in the kitchen drawer of doom

Hi onthebrink, of course Smile

The Christmas prep thing sounds good too. I unintentionally made a start last night, online shopping for DC. Is there a link to specific things to prep?

I'm aiming for exercise 3 times a week as well as some general maintenance things like skincare, vitamins etc.

You've just reminded me I have a Fitbit. I'm going to go and look for it and charge it!

Ladies can I jump on!? I need some accountability! My goal was to be back at my pre baby weight of 10st by Christmas - although I was much happier at 9st I’ll tackle this one after Christmas! Weighed in at 11.5 this morning :)

Going completely cold turkey from the good stuff sounds tough!!!

Hi can I join you?

I start every week with good intentions, and they've all flown out the window by Thursday, so I need something to keep me accountable for a longer period of time so I can actually learn some new habits and make a real difference.

I weighed in this morning at 11st7.5 and would like to get to 9st9, but will be happy to get under 11st as mini goal 1, and to a healthy BMI so under 10st7 as goal number 2. Does anyone else set goals and rewards along the way?

My eating plan will just be to reduce the crap, eat at least my 5 a day, and move a lot more. Plus I find weighing daily more motivating than less often, as I always think I've got time to undo damage if I do weekly!

Hello @Sunny1990

I need accountability too, I'm hoping that this thread will get me through Grin

@muddledmidget

I agree with you about weighing daily.

I'm planning to do this half a stone at a time, it doesn't seem so daunting when you look at it like that.

@muddledmidget 100% know what you mean about good intentions on a Monday!!

Great thread! I'll join you if I may.

I would like to lose a stone by Christmas which is a pound a week, so should be do-able. Weighed in at 10 stone 6lbs this morning. My pre baby weight was 8st 12lbs which seems unimaginably tiny now! (I am quite short.) I'll try and get down to 9st 6lbs by Christmas and take it from there.

Planning to do this through a combination of cutting down the booze and sugar and generally eating three healthy meals a day instead of grazing and snacking. I'll be doing some swimming, and fitness DVDs at home too, but that's more for toning up than for weight loss.

My biggest weaknesses at the moment are cheese strings, wine and gin. I also think I've eaten cake and/or biscuits every single day for about 18 months now! It needs to stop!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who starts with good intentions which fall by the wayside, let's hope we can keep each other on track.

About to go to lidl but have a basic plan for food today:

Breakfast 1 x seeded toast with 1 egg, tomatoes and mushrooms

Lunch 1 x toasted bagel with fish fingers, cucumber and lettuce

Dinner stir fry with protein noodles, sweet chilli and ginger sauce and cashew nuts.

Exercise will be 10k steps when I've charged my fitbit!

Thanks gothamgirl Smile

Hi to everyone signing up! The more the merrier.

So I've weighed in....15,9 which is a better starting weight than I'd been hoping for... I've actually been pretty conscious of my eating over the last month or so as I had an event coming up and was being strict so that's a good start Confused

No food to record yet, but I've done 25 mins on the exercise bike and some free weights.

Now for shower and a mountain of ironing.

Sunny1990 I'm thinking eggs for lunch, omelette or hardboiled and fish, veg and a small baked potato for dinner.

I’ll join too if I may. Absolutely fed up of carrying this extra weight and could do with the group motivation!

12 st 3 and if I can get to 11 and a half by Christmas I’d be a very happy bunny indeed!

I’m also fed up of extra weight.
Today, I’m trying to eat healthier but from tomorrow, I’ll do 16:8 fasting along with healthy eating.
I really need to cut out sugary rubbish.
Today, I’ve had porridge and blueberries, Pitta bread with chickpea salad and butternut squash soup. Not sure about dinner yet. There’s leftover chicken but I want to do a plant based diet for a few weeks.
I felt really good when I did it before.

I was coming here to start my own 100 days til Christmas and I'm still fat thread, but as this one is here already, I will hop onto it.

My main motivation for losing weight before Christmas is that my MIL has a huge family party every Christmas Eve, and as people come in the door she shoves them in front of the Christmas tree and takes a lovely festive photo for her album. There is no escaping this... And I foolishly wore a red velvet top last year and looked like a clean-shaven Santa when the pictures came out.

I did quite well earlier this year (spurred on by that cringey photo) and lost 20lb. But then fell off the wagon and was lazy and greedy all Summer.

I'm currently 14 stone and wishing I was 10 stone. Obviously I'm not going to lose 4 stone by Christmas unless someone staples my mouth shut, but I would like to lose at least one stone, maybe even two if I can manage to curtail my rampant affection for cheese...

Did fine today in that I ate no junk and had fairly sensible (I think) portions of veggie soup and tuna salad. Probably need to go back to weighing or measuring stuff though, as I do tend to over-serve myself a bit if I don't.

Good luck everyone.

Didn’t have a great day yesterday food wise or do all my steps but it wasn’t a disaster and hoping today will be better. Need to stop being all or nothing as that just leads to massive overeating if I once start.

14 1 today :( I am planning to follow the Fast 800 from next week. This week, I am preparing - cutting out wine, crisps and bread and eating smaller, healthier meals
