2 stone gain in 4 months. That’s not right is it? I mean, it’s been summer hols and I’ve been eating and drinking nice stuff, but 2 stone in 4 months?! I feel utterly miserable, none of my clothes fit so I am uncomfortable all the time and I don’t know what to do!! I’m back on SW plan but I’m just horrified at myself. I’ve tipped over into obese BlushSad

Where have you gained the weight? All over?
If it is just your tummy you need to see your GP, especially if you have any bloating or bowel issues.

I sympathise OP. I daren't get on the scales but I think I've probably put on at least 1.5 stone since Easter. So easily done isn't it. At least you're back on the plan now. You won't be obese for long and that 2 stone will soon be gone. I'm sure life isn't supposed to be as fattening as it is. It's a constant battle.

That can happen and it might be that you have quite a low calorie requirement so the amount of food that would make others gain a small amount makes you pile on weight quickly.
A few strict weeks on SW sticking to the plan very carefully and maybe up your exercise (but remember to take it steady as you don't want to put too much pressure on yourself starting two new lifestyle changes at the same time) and you will feel so much better and hopefully edge out of the obese category if you are just over. Then keep going and you will soon be back on track.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve gained all over but it always goes on my tummy which I hate! (It also goes on my boobs which have got huge Grin) and my face.
I know I just need to sort out my eating but oh my goodness food is just so good 🙈

It's very easily done!

Are you sure it's your diet?

Have a health check maybe?

Are you on any contraception? This can cause weight gain.

Echoing managedmis – are you sure it's your diet? If you can honestly say hand on heart that you don't think you've overeaten in those four months or drunk too much, then maybe see your GP to check your thyroid and for other stuff.
My own story is that after gaining three stone despite being healthy and careful about what I ate and trying every diet and failing to get rid of it – then giving up diets completely in frustration, which I've posted about on here – I found out I have a non-celiac gluten sensitivity that's been making my body inflamed and causing the weight to pile on. I'd been suffering from IBS for ages and I was really ill after coming back from a holiday where I drank beer and ate bread like it was going out of fashion, so I was advised to cut out gluten (I'd already given up lactose years ago because of the IBS) and four weeks later I'm 12lb down and feel better than I've done in years. So it's definitely worth getting yourself checked out!

Thanks - honestly it is just over eating I suspect - I love food and eat a lot but I guess such a large gain was a shock! I’ve always loved food and always been overweight but never obese til now Blush I’ve got a GP appointment booked for a couple of weeks time, can’t hurt to check but I suspect I’m just old and fat now and I have to decide which is more important - nice food or defined waistline Grin
