Hi, I've realised today that there is 15 weeks and a few days til Xmas and I'm yet to get my arse in gear.

Anyone want to join me in a challenge to lose the most before Christmas day?! Cannot take ANOTHER year of shying away from camera and feeling embarrassed of myself..

Fifteen weeks you say, bloody hell.

I'm starting tomorrow, can i join you?

Queenonfleek Sun 08-Sep-19 21:50:34

I am in! off to gym tomorrow to start c25K for 12984230948 time!

TroubleTroubleTrouble Sun 08-Sep-19 21:56:11

@Queenonfleek good luck at the gym tomorrow grin

Realised last week that we have 12 weeks until we are on holiday, so wanted to give myself time to lose a stone.

I’ve lost 3 lbs already, and I’m aiming for as far under 11st as possible. Currently 11st 11 & 5ft 9.

Nothing fancy, just planning to eat less, make sensible choices and move more.

TroubleTroubleTrouble Sun 08-Sep-19 22:20:28

@YahBasic 3lbs is a really good start, you must be pleased with that.

Laniakea Sun 08-Sep-19 23:05:21

yup me too - 158lbs when I need to be under 135. I'm doing 5:2, lowish carb, no booze. Lost two pounds this week but it wasn't easy!

GetYourOwnDamnSkip Sun 08-Sep-19 23:15:57

Great I was worried I was gonna start a dead thread!

Yup tomorrow I'm going to weigh myself then each week update my running total. I'm planning on posting here a lot as will need the distraction, I'm trying to overhaul my life and stop all my bad habits so no more pigging out and lazing about in my PJs most the day (I work evenings)

I've just downloaded checklist/habit thingy daily goal apps to track how many days I've been on track and my list of things I want to achieve each day - 10k steps, at least 1.5ml water etc.

3lb is a great start well done!

Can I join you? 11’2.8 today would love to be low 10’s by Christmas. Aiming for lowish carb, 10k steps and just generally being sensible.

Doilooklikeatourist Mon 09-Sep-19 08:40:44

Joining in , I need to start by being sensible , and cutting back on my wine intake

Weighed in at 11st 4 this morning and would like to be in the 10 stones ( 10st 13 will do for a start !)

Will try low carbing , lots of water , lots of green veg , no wine

I did the low carb Bootcamp last year very well and lost a stone , but half a stone has crept back on since last Christmas, so that needs to go

GetYourOwnDamnSkip Mon 09-Sep-19 09:02:54

Ok so day 1, I've weighed myself and have got my daily list to check and keep me on point.

Good luck to everyone, loosing a lb a week is a stone off by xmas, totally doable if we stay motivated halo

Just weighed myself. Bang on 11st.

I need to lose two stone.

Good luck everyone.

Crazycrazylady Mon 09-Sep-19 09:36:52

11.12 here and a all time record for me. Starting this morning with this 16.8 thing. Need to loose1.5 stone

TroubleTroubleTrouble Mon 09-Sep-19 09:37:02

@GetYourOwnDamnSkip One pound a week is definitely doable. A stone off by Christmas would be so good.

Doilooklikeatourist Mon 09-Sep-19 10:13:15

Would also like to get my waist to below 30 inches
Haven’t measured for a while , not brave enough 😩

TroubleTroubleTrouble Mon 09-Sep-19 11:20:21

@Doilooklikeatourist I've only measured my waist once in my life and that was at 40 weeks pregnant. I remember being so shocked that I measured 40 inches. This was 20 years ago.

I'm off to find a tape measure and I'm going to measure my waist.

GetYourOwnDamnSkip Tue 10-Sep-19 11:53:50

How was everyone's first day then? I did good though I've scoffed most of my calories this morning on chocolate I am going to go on a bike ride this afternoon to try and salvage it..

Drank lots of water, didn't smoke and did 15k steps yesterday though..wooo!

I'm fasting today, I'm planning on doing Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday this week & will weigh on Sunday morning. Yesterday was a "normal" day - I try to stick to about 200 calories below my TDEE (1400) on weekday non fast days so I have some extra calories for the weekend!

YahBasic Tue 10-Sep-19 19:34:56

Not too bad yesterday and today. My BMR is about 1850 so I’m trying to average 1400 a day, knowing that I’ve got a night out on Thursday.

I’ve become obsessed with mini Twister ice lollies for pudding. Give me that sugar hit and only 45 calories.

GetYourOwnDamnSkip Tue 10-Sep-19 19:58:50

45 cals?! That's so good!

YahBasic Tue 10-Sep-19 20:08:30

They feel like a proper treat too!

Working from home tomorrow so need to avoid the temptation to snack. I’ve got homemade fish and chips to look forward to tomorrow night!

Doilooklikeatourist Tue 10-Sep-19 20:41:42

Had a day off work today ( so had a maths exam for the NVQ I’m doing , a dentist appointment, a beauty salon appointment , did the weekly shop and changed the sheets )

Putting my food diary on MFP , I’m on around 1200 calories which I think will be about right ( certainly don’t feel hungry )

Loads of water, and 10,000 steps done ✅

GetYourOwnDamnSkip Wed 11-Sep-19 08:17:53

That sounds like a productive day! I managed to survive the evening without snacking and ended up slightly below cals (by 5! grin)

Taking DD to dance class today, house clean and then work tonight, plan to drink tea/coffee every time I want to stuff my face .. we shall see!

Good luck everyone 🙂

Ok, I'd like to join, but I have form for either killing threads or not returning to them. I find it hard to keep up with and comment on everyone's progress so then I fall off the thread...

I don't have a huge amount to lose, but I have lost two stone, and maintained for the last year. I have half a stone more I would like to lose. Well, I am currently 10.4 and would like to be 9.9.

I run a lot and have a specific running goal I would like to achieve on New Year's Eve, last day of the year and all that.

I just like food too much. I am a classic yo-yoer and want to work more on consistency.

I also have a work routine which is sometimes extremely rigid and sometimes completely free-form, which I find challenging.

I have eaten 1400 cals the past two days and that is my aim. So far: a big home-made full-fat latte, which keeps me full till lunch. Planning falafel salad for lunch and probably chicken and veg for tea.
