I really need to lose at least a stone in 5 weeks as have a holiday booked and my jeans are seeming a little tighter recently. I plan to write sort of a food diary on here as I find writing it down I stick to it more, anyone welcome to do the same we can support each other and motivate each other. X

I’m in the same boat 😄including too many takeaways lately due to stress.
It’s not just the weight I need a real health kick my skin looks terrible and my hair is dry so I know the crap food isn’t helping my overall appearance!
My weight is 12 stone at the moment and I’m 5”4
What about you?

I would love to join. I have put on so much weight that hardly any of my clothes fit. My wedding ring doesn't fit. I just feel a mess. I will weigh myself in the morning and make a start.

I'm using my fitness pal to track calories and portion sizing - has been eye opening.

I need to lose a stone too as I'm having major surgery in early October. I'm 5ft 8in and weight 11st 9lb. I was exactly one stone lighter this time last year.

A stone in five weeks sounds ambitious.
At 2lbs a week you could lose 10lbs. I have 2 stone left to lose and my loss seems to 1/2 to a lb a week.
The less you have to lose the slower the lose is. Don't set yourself up to fail, all it does is demotivate you.

@Maybe2020 I'm the same height and weight as you. Count me in and I'll do my best. Lost a stone earlier this year and have put on half already 🙄

I've been doing a pre surgery diet which is around 900 calories a day and have lost 3 stone in just under 7 weeks.

I'm in! I just lost a stone on fast 800, but I need to lose several more!

@imarocketman50 A pre-surgery diet sounds exactly what I need. I'm having a hip replacement, so any loss would be good and help recovery.

@imarocketman50 would you share a daily menu sample here for us please?

I probably am being ambitious but I’m going to try.
I seem to lose weight quite quickly when I up my water intake and cut out crap. As long as I lose enough to feel slimmer it’ll make me feel better anyway.
What has everyone eaten so far today? I normally count Sunday as my chest day 😁but not today ☹️Started today because I normally say I’ll start Monday then by Tuesday I’m back eating rubbish.
So today I have had Greek yoghurt with fruit & a green tea. Then I’ve had chicken gravy peas cauliflower and broccoli, was dying for a Yorkshire pud but said no! So off to a good start today lol

I've had 3 wheatabix with semi skimmed milk, a ham salad sandwich and shared a bag of wotsits with DS. I've just plugged my dinner into MFP and it'll be a slice of bread with garlic and herb soft cheese, bean salad and then a load of 'normal salad to fill up the plate!

And two slices of salami!

Everyone's wanting to know what your diet is iamrocketman!

I've spent the day working out the calories for things (hate mfp) and making my own list of things I eat, like actually pouring out a bowl of cereal (bran with raisin) and cutting a hunk of cheese to see what I'm eating caloriwise.

I'm only on day 4 here but I notice that my work day set diet leaves me feeling better than my weekend set diet so I may make some adjustments before next weekend.

Oh me too please. Although I’m not huge, I’m very unhappy with my weight lately. I’m just over 10st but only 5’2 so looking pretty podgy.

I woke this morning and decided to do something about it. Had a 3 mile/1 hour walk first thing which really helped my mindset.

Today I have eaten:

2 small slices of wholemeal toast with 2 poached eggs
Large orange
Handful of cherries
Tuna Salad
Apple
Bag of snack a jacks

Will make chilli for dinner.

Good luck to everyone Smile

Can I join? A stone in five weeks is my goal too. I think we are being overambitious here, but

WATER WATER WATER WATER

Water first thing in the morning, literally wake up and drink as much as you can. I can not emphasise enough how much this will change your diet. Start your day with something pure and clean and water is as good as it gets. Chronic hydration will mask itself in craving junk food. Trust me, drink water like it’s going out of fashion and you’ll feel so much better.

Ok if I join you? I'd like to lose a stone as although I'm only 10 stone 6 I'm a petite short arse at 5ft 2 so look quite podgy. Will be following the advice and drinking a tonne of water. I know I feel so much better when I'm stricter with my diet but have zero willpower! Xx
