I'm working on losing weight at the moment, mainly through changing my eating habits and I'm also swimming and going to the gym, plus a pilates class. I know that I've got quite a lot of weight to shift (about 20kgs) but I also know that if I weigh myself at the moment I shall either feel so disheartened that I'll give up, or I'll set myself unrealistic targets. I'm focusing instead on noticing positive changes since I started, such as:
- my jeans feel a bit looser
- my ankles don't feel like lead after a long drive
- I'm enjoying thinking about food in a more positive way, rather than feeling guilty about it
- my personal trainer has just given me some more challenging things to do in the gym
- I'm a bit bendier than I was a couple of weeks ago.
No particular reason for posting this! But I hope that these positive effects will become stronger/more significant over time and may help me to continue to make sensible changes and not obsess about my weight.
