Target: 2kgs per month off by Christmas (any method) - anyone?

Just for some moral support/egging on, anyone else joining me with a steady 2kg per month off until Christmas? By any method we like?!

I am going to start (this week) with generally trying to eat less cals a day, less carbs and also try Intermittent Fasting a couple of times a week. Not going mad with crazy diets, and not going to break my neck doing it but also just trying to eat less/move more, and lose a couple of dress sizes over the next few months.

Would anyone like to join me? :)

When will you be starting?

I'm on holiday from work until Sunday but I may start tomorrow with some IF and try to do 500 cals....

I'd love to join this! Currently on holiday so I'll have to start around this weekend.

My plan atm is to exercise daily on top of my 3 weekly C25K runs. I used to love doing YouTube videos so I'll try to do one everyday.

Also interested in the 5:2 diet. I've tried it before some years ago but found it tough on fast days. I'll give it another go!

Happy holidays.

Interested in your C25K, would love to do it but am too lazy...! When did you start and how far along have you got?

My 500 cal day has turned in to dinner out tonight so maybe I will start tomorrow!

Anyway, my starting weight is: 75kg. (I was 75.4 yesterday but hoping it went down overnight!). Target weight for Christmas: 65kg.

Me - I lost loads of weight last year, put w god chunk back on and I hate it. I work in pounds, so 5lb off per month gives me 20lb by Christmas which is perfect!

Calorie counting and running is my method...

I am hoping to start today? Starting weight is 64.2 and hoping to get to 58.2 kg. Not sure I will get there as weekend is always unpredictable in terms of eating out which wipes out the weekday progress but going to make a conscious effort! I would love to fit into one of my dresses for our work Xmas lunch!

My target is 1500 kcal per day tracking with MFP. Also brisk walks and stretching.

I’m so heavy, around 98kg. Blush

Hi Cat! My target is also 1500 kcal a day. I have so far lost 22 kg of the pregnancy weight with 1800 kcal. I have been maintaining since May so would now like to resume the weight loss again.
At 98 kg you will find that you lose the first 10 kg quickly, that’s what happened to me so you won’t be that heavy for too long!

Tentatively signing in. I say tentatively because I seem to crap at commitment and following through. Plus I’m totally bamboozled by all food/diet stuff so have no method of technique. However, just yesterday I decided enough was enough sugar-wise, so am working on cutting down on sugar and then also carbs. But don’t really know what I’m doing. And not helped by the fact that I detest eggs and would like to eat less meat too Confused

BUT have spent the last year working on my mental health so need to sort my physical health out. Dabbling in running and CrossFit (just started) too but find it very difficult to fit exercise in.

My scales are broken and I’ve been putting off getting new ones as I suspect I’ve just tipped over 11st - 70kgs limit. Heaviest I’ve ever been.

Let me join in too!

Joined the gym at the start of the summer holidays..... I am a teacher, I have been everyday and have definitely got fitter!

But have not lost any weight as I have over compensated with eating more food!

I realised this morning when I weighed.

10st 12lb that I too am the fattest I have ever been, so need to take myself in hand and sort out my diet too!!

I would love to lose a stone! That's about 1lb a week and totally doable - just need to get my arse in gear!

Come on ladies we CAN do this Wink

Yay so many of us! we can do this! Slowly, steadily and it will stay off for good! No doubt a few hiccups along the way but we can motivate each other.

Yes! Waving here me please too!! I’m two weeks into my project 40 get goddam fitter and stronger mantra. Going well so far but could use a thread to check in. I’d love a 2lb a week loss. Have my birthday fortnight (don’t ask) about to start so need to minimise damage there.
Am body pumping and c25king. Brand new but so far I’ve not died so result.

Need to figure out how to get exercise fitted in to my day. I think it’s more of a motivation problem than a practical one....

Same here Iron. I just can't be bothered and am very lazy. From tonight I am going to start walking though.

Dinner out was good and although I had two plates of pasta/potatoes I didn't have any dessert. Had a bucket of wine though! Wine

Are we going to have a weekly weigh in? Would every Friday work for everyone? So the end of what has hopefully been a good week and not after a weekend when we have all gone off the rails!? Blush

I’d like to join in!

I’m 4lbs down having started mid-July, with a total 2.5 stone to lose. I’ve broken it down into smaller targets and by Christmas I’m aiming for 1 stone from now.

It’s a slightly slower pace than your 2kg per month, but I think more realistic for me. I’m calorie counting and avoiding snacking but I’m peri-menopausal and finding it really hard. I could use the support of a thread that keeps me accountable!

Friday is my usual weigh in too. I tend to celebrate with wine and an ice cream, then get back to it on Saturday!

This morning’s news was good and even at just 4lb down (in 4 weeks) I feel a little bit lighter.

Love it. Fridays work for me too.
Having an on plan day today after literally drinking all of the alcohol in the world last night as I started my birthday celebrations early. Day out tomorrow with my sister at an all you can eat and drink amazing buffet thing so I’m trying to minimise damage. Will try for in a run this evening

I've had scrambled eggs for breakfast, tomato soup and two slices of gf bread and I'm wanting ALL the chocolate but resisting!

Why,oh why, does my body decide to get bloody hormonal the day I decide to be a bit healthier!!
