Any one else trying to loose while breastfeeding?

LO is 8 weeks now and the initial loosing weight without trying has tailed off. I’m two stone from pre baby weight so now need to start easing myself into proactively loosing weight instead of marvelling at how I’m loosing despite sinking a pack of biscuits a day.
Any tips for losing whilst sleep deprived, sofa bound and starving (BFing makes me soo hungry!) greatly received.

Ta

Watching with interest as I am in almost exactly the same position! LO is 7 weeks, I've lost almost a stone but now stalled with 2.5 to go to get to pre baby weight. Having to buy clothes 2 sizes up for summer which isn't doing much for my confidence...

Me! Have a five month old and 2/2.5 stone to lose. It’s only in the past month or so that I’ve managed to really start losing, didn’t have the energy before. Doing 16:8 and as much exercise as I can find time for.

Just had an apple for snack rather than my usual buttery toast. Really didn’t do the job 😐 and now my 3yo is asking to go and get an ice cream. Maybe it’s just easier to not worry about weight till I go back to work!!!

@DoraleeRhodes what is 16:8? Am a bit worried that anything that restricts food groups/ lots of calories would effect milk supply (also require more will power than I have...)

It’s intermittent fasting, so fasting for 16 hours a day and eating over 8. I eat between 12-8pm.
I only started it once I was confident my milk supply was really well established though. I’ve found I need to keep myself really well hydrated too to avoid impact on supply.

In The same position here, my LO is 11 weeks & I need to lose at least 2 stone, have stopped buying any biscuits, chocolate etc, started doing overnight oats so no effort making breakfast, little/no potatoes, rice, pasta, but so difficult to stop snacking after a good 6 months of eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted with the excuse of being pregnant/breastfeeding

I started going to slimming world when my baby was 5 months, she's nearly 8 months now and I've lost 1 st 5 so far. I've found having a structure helpful and there are allowances for breastfeeding. Smile

@Helga55 think I’ll do the same as you - try and avoid unhealthy snacks and see if that gets me loosing again then when I’m feel less zombie like start a proper ‘diet’ plan. Went back to the gym at 4months with DD1 that definitely helped so guess I need to dust off my trainers...

@gracepoolesrum I feel your pain. I just had to buy some trousers two sizes up (and still a bit tight) as I have nothing to wear. Somehow with DD1 I managed to avoid buying ‘transition’ clothes - I think i was just in pyjamas for a lot longer but this time my DD1 is forcing me out of the house.
