Previous thread here: Half a stone off (or 3kg) in June http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3600209-half-a-stone-off-or-3kg-in-june

Welcome all to half a stone off for July!

As in the June thread I promise to inject some enthusiasm into every day (and try to stay away from Greggs) We saw some amazing losses in June so let's see if we can beat June's total!!

All welcome whether you are fasting, 5:2 12:8, ww, slimming world etc etc.

All I ask for is positivity and for us all to support each other.

Much love and looking forward to Day 1!!!

I took June off for a whole host of reasons.. have splurged thoroughly and regret a lot of choices made this month, but just a little wave to say I will be rejoining the thread in July! Weigh day Monday and the start of it all!
(Now to convince DP it's for real and to join in as well........)

Hi, please can I join in too? I was 2lbs away from pre pregnancy weight at the end of May but put on 7lbs in June (holiday, my birthday and two weddings!)
Would love to shift it again in July then make a start on the last stone to get to my ideal weight!
Going to Center Parcs next week with my in laws though so wine is going to be required, hopefully can compensate with exercise!

I’m back in for July, after a couple of months of stress eating - revision/exams/job interview/starting new job!

See you all on Monday 🙂

Well I only lost 1kg last month but that's still one bag of sugar so if you don't mind me tagging along still, I'm in.

I'm in.

12st 7.5 at the beginning of June.

Now 12st 1.25, so 6.25 pounds lost last month. I'd like to really focus this month, as ime it gets much harder once the school holidays start.

I'm away on holiday until Sunday 7th, can I join a week late if I promise to be extra good and work doubly hard for the remaining 3 weeks? I'm going to need help when I get back Grin

Can u join. I have 7lbs to go to get to prepregnancy weight that i have been at twice since ds was born. That's also a bmi of 25. And I'm back to work in August I'd like some of my wardrobe to fit by then. So 7lbs in July would be just perfect.

Weighed in today at 149lbs. We can do this.

I'd love to join in if you'll have me.
I lurked in the June thread, and it was so helpful. The longest I've kept up with losing weight since prekids.
Going to weigh in tomorrow to see what I lost this month, and definitely want to keep the momentum going in July too

Ha ha twobambinos that made me laugh. Having lost 15lb I am now just 3lb heavier than the night before dd was born 21 years ago. Thereafter I have brolen 10st once on a generally upward trajectory.

I think age isna factor. I had ds aged 34 and was 9st6lb again after 6 weeks. I may have worked at it harder but the pnd and infective mastitis helped too. Weight only came off fast again, 6lb in 7 days when dd had a growth spurt at 10 weeks and fed two hourly. I just couldn't keep up and GP said to start weaning at 12 weeks - quite usual thenGrin. I got into my jeans and then forgot to take them on holiday and never wore them again.

I want to lose another 18lb ideally.

Hello everyone old and new. 👏

I'm aiming for a 2kg ish loss to take me to 59 something.

Doing 16:8, 800 cals 4 days a week and no weekday alcohol.

This thread really helps as the fasting can be quite a challenge some days

Good luck everyone

Can I join? I've got 67 lbs to lose to get to pre pregnancy weight of 10st. DS is 2 in October 🙄

Hoping to do it by keeping an eye on calories and much more exercise. But massively welcome any tips!

Previous to today I've been eating well in excess of 2000 calories a day.

Typical day would be large bowl of sugary cereal, constant snacking on chocolate and sweets at work, fish chips and gravy for dinner, more chocolate, and then something like 2 burgers and a shit ton of chips for tea 😫 crammed full of fizzy drinks too. Disgusting now when I think about it.

Not to mention the full chocolate orange id eat every night.

God that's just fucking appalling written down isn't it Sad

BUT! The Fitbit is back on and I started this morning with a 3.5 mile walk with DS in his pram! And I've made myself a little jar of marbles (67!) and an empty jar to put lbs lost.

I'm planning on weighing myself at the same day and time every week is that right?

Ooh I watched the thread last month but for plenty of not really acceptable excuses I wasn't ready to start. I've got 25 pounds to lose to get to my mostly comfortable weight of 10st. Started healthy eating and exercising from last Monday but have had a pretty bad weekend as have been out both Friday and Saturday. Going to hit it hard though as I want to actually feel comfortable in my body :)

Hello all

Putting my head above the parapet here

Am 79kg

That’s 15kg above where I should be

So am trying to shed the weight slowly and achievably.

3kg a month = 5 months meaning all going well I’d be at target by Christmas.

Am not following a plan per se, just need to limit intake to 1400 cal a day and stop eating vast quantities of choc.

Thank you so much for setting up this thread cricket

I start July on 100.0kg exactly, with a 6.7kg loss for June and 12kg total since April.

I now have just over 9kg to lose to get to merely 'overweight' rather than obese.

We go on holiday in 54 days time. About 1 kg per week would get me there.

5 weeks pregnant now, after the MMC in April that triggered this healthy lifestyle lark. Nausea in the mornings is helping me to keep away from carbs for breakfast, and light exercise, portion control, (will power) and no alcohol (!) are helping with the rest.

Hope July is going to be a good month for everyone.

Checking into the new thread for July, so far I've done well to lose 20lbs in the last 2 months, but this month will be trickier as I go on holiday on the 20th, so I only have 3 weeks to lose 7lbs. I am allowing myself 2 weeks off the strict diet for my holiday, but will not be gorging on treats, will not be drinking much alcohol, and I will still weigh myself to keep myself on the right track.

So starting weight for July is: 15st 8lbs
Target: 15st 1lbs

Good luck all!

Same here @snooksmcgee. Where are you going?

We can totally do 7lbs in 20 days!
