I've just eaten four slices of soft bread with lashings of mayonnaise and sliced fresh tomatoes with salt and pepper. Sad in bed.

I just can't motivate myself. It's like if I know I'm on a diet I just HAVE to eat. Might nap instead. At least if I'm napping I can't be eating?!

If I might make a suggestion; it's the bread that affects you! Plenty of tomatoes, maybe some cucumber and lettuce and not too much mayo!! yes!! but the wheatbread is known to create exhaustion, confusion, weight gain etc. and is addictive!!

Carbs are addictive but man they taste nice 🥴

Not all of them sheshoots IME but we're all different. I eat whole rice , quinoa, pure rye bread and can manage well and lose weight on them. Also if you eat it V E R Y slowly that white bread tastes effing horrible! it's the stuff on it like like jam . marmite, mayo and tomatoes Grin etc. that has taste!!

Just as an example of a healthier version of your snack, you could have cottage cheese and tomatoes on a rye cracker or wholewheat bread instead?

If you need some tough love to slap you round the face when you have a craving you could watch some Swolenormous or EveryDayDamnFitness on YouTube, they are harsh but true!!

Oh, and don't beat yourself up about it, just take responsibility for it and get right back on track Smile

Thanks peeps

I actually ended up getting out and going to the gym and fast walking on the treadmill for an hour so I feel a bit better now. I never used to be a carb queen but recently I just can't get enough of the stuff?! At least it's seeded bread (I tell myself) lol.

It's a bit of a vicious cycle for me at the moment, I know I should be going to the gym as it gets me in the right frame of mind. I usually do weights rather than cardio. But I feel like I need to lose some weight before I go so I don't look so bad in my gym clothes 🙈Blush. I refuse to buy bigger sizes lol.
Today I wore a T shirt of DHs so that was okay Grin

Aaargh! Nobody looks at you in the gym. Suck it up, buy bigger sizes if you need to (but not many because you'll soon be out of them again) and get lifting.
