Summer is here but I'm still fat!

Oh dear how did this happen? I promised myself it wouldn't happen again this year but has. The weather is beautiful and I'm hiding away already as I am still fat!

I turn 40 this month, I am carrying baby weight still, except the 'baby' turns 6 soon Blush

I can't do this anymore, my lower limbs are crying in agony and I don't want to spend the summer trying to hide myself in the usual black.

Diet starts tomorrow, low carb, possible meal replacement (protein shakes) and a bit of 5:2 thrown in.

Anyone want to join me? Might be pushing it a by for this year (I have 52lb to lose) but could make a good start ready for next summer Grin

Last summer I had 5 stone to lose. This summer 2.5! I guess slow and steady etc!

So let's do this. Exercise is fine, I'm rubbish with food. I Iove low carb eating so will try to stick with that, I need to stop with the odd sugar binges and stick to it.

I have a posh do in 6 weeks and a trip to Paris with dd at the end of June so would love to lose a stone by then.

Today I was 13st 13. When I go I want to be in the 12s.

Wow @glenthebattleostrich well done on the loss so far that's fantatstic!

I just don't want to get to next summer again and still feel this way.

I weighed at 13st 6 this morning, only 4lb lighter than when my youngest was born 6 years ago. I have maintained this weight all that time though so in a way I guess that's something. My usual pre baby weight was around 11st but I'm only 5ft 2 so even that was too heavy really.

I really need to address this! And feel finally ready to tackle this once and for all!

Glad to have some company Grin

Hey, on the plus side you've maintained, not increased! Last summer I weighed in over 15 stones, a few on more than when I gave birth.

So slowly and steadily it's coming down. Then up a little, then down a bit more. But the general trend is good.

How has your first week gone @GonnaSortIt40

I've lost 1lb! Need to get stricter. I was using this week to get my body used to low carb again. From today it's very strict, keep a check on calories as well as carb levels. I have 5 weeks to drop a dress size.

The low carb boot camp has just started. I began boot camp back at the end of January and kept going until this one (with a few blips). I've lost 1st 10lbs so far. It's a really friendly thread. Come and join us. The rules are all there to guide you and lots of tips to keep you focused. Good luck x

I know exactly how you feel GonnaSortIt40. Im gutted I've let months go by and not got a grip in time.
I'm hauling out a very strict approach tomorrow, blowing the cobwebs off it (and my willpower) and I am aiming to be a stone down by end of June. I then have 2 more stones to tackle and then, my few extra vanity pounds. Blush

I've been roughly size 8-10 most of my adult life. Last 18months has been disastrous! Im now 14-16.Sad

Time to get focused. Flowers
