Any interest in a low fat diet topic?

Before I go to site stuff I want to gauge interest.

Disclaimer
I know that low carb is considered the gold standard of diets at the moment, but I need to eat low fat for medical reasons, and not all low fat food is the devil, as people seem to say on here. Eg fruit, vegetables, lean meat, fish, pulses. There are two low carb topics, I think it would be good for those of us that need a different approach to have a dedicated space too. It would be of benefit to anyone that is using this like orlistat to lose weight too.

Anyone in support?

I'm not saying everyone says low fat food is bad, just I've seen a few comments while specifically searching for low fat posts, equating low fat food with low fat processed food.

We are not all the same, many people lose weight with low carb , I don't eat wheat but will eat some spelt bread and whole organic rice, quinoa etc. I'm a demi vegan I eat and cook with olive oil, not butter and I don't touch palm oil or coconut. But I love pnut and almond butter!

IMO and E it's impossible to have a one diet fits all.

I have nothing against low carb at all, but there are two specific topics for low carb already.

Evidence suggests that low carb and low fat both get similar results for weight loss, but low carb is definitely what is popular at the moment. But there will be others like me, that need a low fat diet (not necessarily for weight loss, so maybe I should also ask in health.)

It would be good to have a place that was specifically for low fat diets, but at the moment there doesn't seem to be any interest. Ah well.

Late answer but I’ve been searching through here for this. Awaiting surgery to remove gallbladder and need to eat very low fat- because it’s not trendy right now I’m struggling for inspiration. Even when I google low fat receipts they just give low calorie but still using oil etc.

I was there last year.
needed to eat a low fat diet due to issues with my liver.
you get bombarded with a lot of quackery from the low carb camp.
but for some (like you) low fat is the best option to keep/get healthy.
