How did I gain 8 pounds over the bank holiday?

Well I sort of do know because I went out Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and ate all the food and drank all the wine. I was expecting to have gained 2 or 3 pounds but not 8 of the buggers. I had to try on five outfits before I found one I dared go to work in as it's all gone on my stomach. Anyone else gained over the bank holiday? And how are you planning on getting rid of it?

shameless bump - I can't be the only one who over-indulged can I?

It's water retention and bloat OP, unless you were consuming an extra 10k calories per day.

Up your water intake, up your green veg, lower your carbs, and you'll piss it all away in no time.

I know the feeling well - it's always over indulging on carbs and wine for me - a couple of days of clean living and I feel virtuous enough to start again at th weekend WineCake

Yep it's carbs, carbs and more carbs for me too. I wish I had some restraint.

I'd wine all weekend, a takeaway, a massive Sunday and Monday bank holiday dinner and then 6 slices of bread today (toast, sandwich at lunch and scrambled eggs and toast for dinner). I am a greedy bloater but it's salad and a chicken noodle veggie loaded soup tomorrow to kick start my weight loss. Only 1 1/2 stone to lose Blush

Thank you - it's down to 6 pounds today! I think I must be the only person that approaches a bank holiday weekend like other people approach christmas.
