So the 800 kcal fasting Dr M diet, I have been reading up about it seems to get good results and Dr Mosely is well respected in this field and not some celeb endorser....however haven't we always been told to stay away from low kcal diets or eat 1000kcals a day ..why is this any different to a faddy crash diet?
Genuine question ...I can't decide whether I am being stupid to even give it a try?

Personally I think we've been missold the idea that a woman "should have 1500-2000 calories a day".

Take a look around. We're just not needing that many calories yet here we are terrified we'll fall into "starvation mode" if we go below 1500 calories a day. Starvation my arse.

Dr M works for me in that I can have a "big" day and still lose so for me it's far less restrictive than many diets.
