How do I start?

I want to lose a bit of weight, my friend is getting married in July and my bridesmaid dress is pretty damn tight, like two people mission to do it up. But the size up was too big. So I need to lose some weight to feel comfortable in my dress.

I'm 23, size 12 and live with my OH who is VERY thin. So I feel like I'm going to be making two meals every night as he doesnt want to lose weight he wants to gain it.

How do I possible do this without it being an expensive faff?! I get really mentally hyped to start a diet but dont even start it as I feel like it's just not going to work.

I always cook, we dont eat unhealthy. I often do salmon with asparagus, broccoli and sometimes new potatoes, some just more veg. I make pasta bake on lazy days. But mostly absolutely everything is cooked at home from scratch.

Also how can I fit it in around work? I've read eating 5 small meals a day is the best, but I cant possible get that into my working day. I get an hour for lunch, and I work in a dental surgery so I cant just leave the surgery to have a small meal.

Someone plesss help me pull it together and get this diet on the road. Wedding is in JULY so I have literally no time to waste.

I think I want to lose about a stone, maybe a tiny bit more. I'd it possible?! :(

I always am starting a diet Monday Hmm desperately need to loose weight!

I can't give much advice but it's all about a calorie deficit, I've been using an app called my fitness pal, it helps work out how many calories you need to hit your target weight. Then you just submit what your eating into it.

I never have time for small meals more often so just tried to reduce the portions of what I was eating.

I was always told when I was getting advice from people not to restrict your diet, and eat the things you normally would, otherwise you'll just crave them. As long as your in a calorie deficit you'll be loosing weight.

Good luck with your weight loss!

Why not do 16:8? You fast for 16 hours, for example 8pm to midday the next day. You can eat normally with your DP, but cut back at other times.

cathyandclare Is right OR to confuse you more Grin You can eat your protein and carbs at different meals also eat fruit on an empty stomach, except for bananas, it's called Food Combining and it works!!! Also cut out caffienated drinks if you OD on them! Drink loads of water and herbal teas though.

Sounds like the ideal situation to me. Just make the same meal for both of you and the scrape half of what's on your plate onto his.

Eat the same as now just reduce your carb portion and top up with more salad/veg. Stop drinking alcohol and make sure you drink 2l of water a day.

Some good tips here! I invested in a Fitbit too, so feeling very optimistic about this.
