Has anybody ever lost weight veeeery slowly?

So, I weigh 105kg at a weight of 165 cm. Not great, although I am as active as I can be. Biggest problem is (was) snacks and sugary drinks.
I am currently taking part in a weight loss programme through my employer. As part of this, I have made small changes - watching portion sizes, cutting out snacks and coke, and upping exercise. I definitely feel better and some trousers are fitting more loosely. However, when I had my five week weigh in I had lost the grand total of 1kg.
Whilst I was disappointed at that, I am thinking that, on the other hand, the sort of regime I am currently on is something I can potentially maintain long term, whereas with any more radical change I would set myself up for failure.
So, I was just wondering, has anybody ever lost weight very slowly? I am kind of thinking that I have gained this weight over a very long period of time, so I don't mind so much loosing it over a long period of time, too. I am hoping to get back down to 85 kg. At my best adult weight, I was 65.
However, I was only able to maintain this with huge amounts of exercise which I simply don't have time for these days (I was a single student that time, now I am a mum of two and working full time). I think 85 is more realistic long-term at this stage of my life!

I lost around two and a half to three stone at an average of just over a pound a month. I have found it quite easy really but had to change how I thought about 'dieting'. I just do my best to eat fairly healthily, and crucially (for me) accept there will be days when i eat badly and it really doesn't make a huge difference in the long term.
And every weekend I have a large piece of cake or pudding which I look forward to all week!

When I cut down I loose about 1lb a week sometimes just a half pound. I just don't loose a lot . In general it can take me about 2 to 3 months to loose a stone. I never have been able to achieve big losses weekly

Well it's taken me around 2 years to lose 60 lbs of baby weight, so that's less than 1 lb per week. It wasn't linear though - lost slowly at first, then it's really been the last 6 months where i've upped the ante as it were.

Now that I’m done having kids I’m back to a more normal steady way of eating and the baby weight has slowly but surely fallen away. I had only 10kg to lose but with no effort and one year later I’ve list 7kg.

It’s taken me a year to lose just over 2 stone. I’ve still got another 4 to go.

My issue was yo-yoing though. I managed to stabilise my weight and then continue to lose weight. I’m cal counting though, and I’ve set up my fitness pal to lose 0.5lb a week. I’m happy with that as I get over 1,700 cals a day, so I’m not really depriving myself, and I never go over my allotted calories, and I still manage to eat the things I love, such as bread, rice, the occasional chocolate bar etc...

I’m losing slow, but I’m losing, I’ve given myself a target of 18 months to lose the 4 stone.

The old saying of 'suddenly off, suddenly on' is true with weight loss. When people talk about massive losses, it's not fat their losing. The sheer numbers make it a physical and scientific impossibility.

Small changes to diet, which become the norm are far more likely to result in a consistent and sustained weight loss. Statistically more likely to stay off as well.

Cut the crap out, as you have identified. Weight loss is 80% achieved by what you eat, not how much you exercise, hence the saying you get a 6 back in the kitchen, not the gym.

Trouble is, people want fast results, it's indicative of today's society. You don't gain it quickly, so why should you lose it quickly?
