So I totally failed January goals...who's in to get each other through feb?

I had all the right intentions but dd decided I didn't need to sleep and I ate my way through it instead.

I have 15 weeks til a mini holiday so aim to lose a lb a week minimum by then.

Does anyone want to join in? I'm planning on calorie counting but might possibly turn to slimming world if I can't stay on track after a few weeks.

I’m in- getting married in 12 weeks!

I’ve been doing the whole30 since the 28th and have lost 3 pounds already!

Oo that's exciting..I had to buy a dress the week before my wedding as I never got my butt in gear then either!

What's the whole30?

I’ve not bought my dress either Grin everyone thinks I’m mad but I’m pretty good under pressure so I’m hoping to lose a bit- I want to lose 20 pounds before I buy it! I’ve chosen one from a chain store so I’m not worried about buying it, I can drive to wherever and pick it up.

It’s 30 days of eating whole foods, very restricted- no sugar, dairy, grains etc. Hoping to reset my sugar cravings!

Can I also join?

I'm 3 weeks into my weight loss challenge and I've lost 6lb so far but the cold weather is really pushing me to eat pizza, could do with the support ( I'm far too good at convincing my husband to let me eat crap haha)

My birthday is in 10 weeks so I've set myself a mini goal of losing 10 lb by then but overall I'm wanting to lose 40 lb.

great work on the 6lb violet!

Yea it’s not easy in the cold is it, it’s stopping me from doing any exercise. In comforting myself by remembering that it’s food that’s important!

So I didn't actually start yday as I hadn't weighed myself so I scoffed all day instead

Today is going well though, Weighed first thing and I'm on track to be below calories for the first time in months!

I am in!

I have managed to gain two lbs in January, when I meant to lose about 20 Grin!

I have a job interview coming up and I’d like to feel a bit more comfortable in my interview suit for it. It’s decidedly snug at the moment.

Goal is to get back to a healthy bmi, which would only mean losing about half a stone, but for some reason I can’t seem to do this! Need a kick up the bum tbh.

After that, I’ve decided I don’t really have a goal. In an ideal world I’d be 2.5 stone lighter, but I am a hopeless diet failure & a foodie, so anything in the healthy range is fine by me.

Also planning to calorie count, but also want to follow a healthy, whole food type diet. Less refined carbs, dairy, sugar etc.

Congrats on the wedding btw lady!

I’m in please!

Lost 7lbs in Jan...would love to lose another 7 in Feb. Have a night out on 23rd so really want to feel slimmer by then.

I did Dry January and had a drink last night but planning on staying no booze until 23rd, 10k steps per day, exercise 3-4 days per week and low carb healthy meals.

Just logged everything down to the stuff I stole off dc and I'm 48cals over... I'll take that!

I've set a goal for 10k steps for week days, weekends lately I don't leave the house as 1 day I'm cleaning and 2nd day I'm so drained I just want to stay in my pjs and play hide and seek with the dc Grin

This has hit a cord with me today, I’m supposed to be doing ww but today have eaten a load of brownies and a bit too much Gin

But it’s 20 weeks until I’m going to a wedding - and if I could lose 20lbs I would be thrilled!

Back on it tomorrow then - no excuses!!

No more excuses! A lb a week is realistic and will make a huge difference when it adds up, I always find it's the getting started the hardest and once I've managed past day 2/3 it's not so much of a struggle coz I don't want to waste the effort.

11.5 weeks until my tenth wedding anniversary and a short holiday requiring swimwear. I haven't actually got a plan. Will make one tomorrow. Just know I'd like to fit in my spring/summer holiday gear and not be quite as heavy for our celebration.

@Itsnotalwaysfair Dh has said If I don't lose weight this year I have to bin half the clothes that don't fit me as he's fed up with me stealing all the space for clothes I can't even wear!

@missedit woah that's dramatic but I don't know how much you've got so perhaps it's reasonable. But I do have my own wardrobe with limited space so I have to clear it our regularly myself. DH and I have bet 100 on who loses 5 kilo first. From our starting weights I'm at -2 Blush so I have 7 to lose to win. I'm 80 kilo. When we got married I was 65 but don't expect to get there again. If I was 72 that would be a good and healthier weight.
Today I had half a roll with peanut butter and a banana. A tea with milk and sugar. A small bite of dd's croissant and a mixed water and juice for breakfast. Not a great start. But lunch is fish spinach and potatoes and vegetable and lentil soup for dinner. Have a good day!

Yeah I used to be a lot slimmer and haven't wanted to get rid as I want to fit them again..I've actually lost nearly 2.5 stone but only lost 1 bloody dress size!

I've pulled a muscle in my foot and it's extremely painful to walk on which I'm really angry about as I can no longer jog (jogging is my favourite form of exercise I'm slightly obsessed with it) Decided to focus on strength training/weight lifting till I recover, hopefully it won't screw up my weigh in on Monday too much.

Can I join? I was meant to be healthy and lose weigjt in January. Not really sure what happened but losing weight didn’t happen and gaining weight did!

Some of my clothes don’t fit me and it’s really getting me down. I need to move more and eat less biscuits.

No judgement here DogMum123 I gained in jan too!

Ouch, that sounds really painful, well done for trying something else instead and not using it as an excuse though that's impressive.

Talking of impressive, I've just had mega veg cottage pie and gave all the cheese topping to ds - I was both sad and proud at reducing calories Grin

Please can I try too - getting married in July - decidedly plump and need to change my ways (she says whilst eating a MASSIVE bag of kettle chips and drinking a glass of wine.) I like food and I honestly don't know what to do - I've never dieted in my life - I don't even know where to start. I don't want to stop eating food I like...I have lost 3lbs in January though sort least that's something....help!!

Hiya, 3lb is great, what did u do different? Everyone is different so it's more about what works for you, try downloading MyFitnessPal and logging a days worth of food, if u log everything properly it highlights exactly where you waste calories. It's an eye opener!

If you aren't good at going hungry then slimming world is good as you can eat more, or if you don't really get hungry and want quicker results then low carb is good..I personally find it soul destroying though and take my hat off to those that can! Same with intermittent fasting it's just too hard!

Forgot my update, day 2 done and under cals. Fitbit is charged and I'm feeling positive.

I've been up since 5am, I wish you could lose weight by how tired you are-I'd be a skinny minx instead I'm channeling the old lady from Snow White

Thanks I feel better hearing you say it's too hard - people at work do the fasting - not sure I could function and I am positive I would eat all the wrong foods in the evening. Not sure what I did differently except didn't drink quite as much and went back to work. Last year I was running but my work has changed so now I can't run in the day - I have put on a bit of weight since I stopped - I'm really wobbly!!!! Blush I've walked nearly 11,000 steps today though so a goodish start.

This^

I used it a couple of years ago but got fed up with it because it's a data entry exercise. However, my doctor encouraged me to start using it again.

It's especially useful it says: if you ate like this every day you would weigh....calculated weight.....in five weeks. Which is encouraging when you know that would be a loss and quite sobering when you know it would be a weight gain !

I started my weight loss in July 2018. To date I’ve lost 3 stone 8lbs. I’m a size 12-14 at the moment. I’m stuck in a stall at the moment and the scale hasn’t moved for 4 weeks but this has happened before so it will be worth it

Wow!! That's amazing Prison - well done! What did you do?

I have used my fitness pal before - just out of interest - maybe I should look it up again...
