I've been so careful all week watching what I eat and counting calories and I've somehow managed to put on weight! Wheres the motivation to carry on if I've worked so hard and lost nothing Sad

What does a typical days food for you?

Tbh most times the weight gain is becuase sonewhere you’ve underestimated calories or ate too large portion despite calculating a smaller one.

Period has never made a difference to me personally

Don't be disheartened. It's a marathon not a sprint. Fluid retention and fluid balance can all have an effect. Don't give up. It's only been a week!

Yep me too. And I can't blame totm because I finished with all that years ago.

I'm pretty sure I have been accurate with my cals. I think it's either dodgy scales or just a delayed reaction. Keep going for a bit longer. Good luck Flowers

Finding motivation can be really difficult when you're first starting to eat healthy, especially if you're not seeing the results you were hoping for. Don't get discouraged though! You're still doing a lot better than you would be if you weren't counting calories and watching your diet. You're not going to lose weight consistently every week. The body will sometimes plateau, and all you need to do when that happens is maybe eat a little less or cut out more carbs. If you need a little extra encouragement, this article has a great selection of motivational quotes that you can read whenever you feel down: www.openfit.com/20-motivational-quotes-to-help-you-reach-your-fitness-goals
