Hey hey hey. Thanks for new thread. Determined to keep up this time.

Hit 2L water today, food choices not brilliant but could be worse and with my swimming I feel it’s been a good day overall.

Feeling quite stressed at the mo with DH potentially being off work as he’s in so much pain now. Trying to be calm and focus on the positives - much more time together, more help with home ed stuff, easier to cook better etc and potentially more time for me to exercise. :)

He will probably have to look for a new job though.

Nice one happier cheers for that!
No Kellogg’s in this house life, bloody rip off! Thankfully Tesco’s do a version, wish we had Sainsbury’s here.
I did pretty good on my macros, it was just my junky snacks that took me over but I’m not concerned.

Hi all.
Thanks for the new thread Happier.
Exercise wise today was good, I went for a jog and have done 1220 odd steps.
Food wise not so good.
All bran and coffee for breakfast
Vegan cheese and pickle sandwich for lunch and a protein bar
Partner went to the chip shop for chips as we had none in, so I just ended up with some chips and 2 slices of bread for dinner
Did have some fruit too.

I have been shopping so meals will start being better.
I have training tomorrow at a different venue, so I won't take lunch as I'm not sure if food will be provided, but I know a small tesco is near by, so hopefully will be ok.

That’s great steps curvy, well done. Kinda thought you meant 12,000+ 😉
I did 950 steps on New Year’s Day, isn’t that horrific? Couch to fridge & repeat

Thanks Not, I tend to manage 10,000 when I'm working and have been really lacking over the holiday so was pleased with today.
No that is what the festive season is all about!

Cag hope things improve soon

Cag, it's a start. Maintain that and build on it.
13,000 odd yesterday and Pilates.
Hoping to repeat and get to pump instead today.
Marcos bang on.
Bring in day 3.
I'm feeling better already

1 hour on the treadmill this morning, scales down to 163 so that’s progress. That’s probably my actual starting point as I was 167.2 on Monday, dropping 4.2 in 4 days indicates bloat. So now I’d say it’s going to take the rest of the month to get back to 158’ish. Starting my day out (cinema/shopping/walk) with close to 11,000 steps, feeling great😬

cag what's happened your dh?

My calories are fine, but didn't hit macros yesterday or the day before. I've got 567 calories left to hit 60g protein and 6g fibre and am determined to do it today!
Yesterday I let myself get too hungry so by 7pm I was ravenous.

My scales is all over the place with starting gym I think, going to keep weighing daily and it'll be what it'll be. I'm happier in my clothes and with my figure and the scales will fall into place too.

Great work on the steps everybody HaloStar HaloStar HaloStar

He’s got a back issue mammy we aren’t sure what yet :( you may remember he had a prolapsed disc a few years ago (that was around the time I joined the frugaleers I think), they didn’t sort it for a couple of years and he ended up with a discectomy and spine drilling or something. So it’s all a bit worrying really as it was such an awful time (when they tried an injection, it shrunk the disc back in taking the nerve with it...).

He’s had an MRI which has shown “disc issues” but they didn’t say prolapse on the phone. He also had a bone density scan (family history of osteoporosis) which showed lower density around the lower back. Hips are painful but the hips themselves are apparently fine so I’m guessing it’s referred pain somehow. It’s not the same pain as last time. He also had some unusual blood results but no idea what. So it’s all very up in the air.

He can’t even run really ATM so is thoroughly miserable.

I’ve had a bit of a rubbish day, swimming did wear me out yesterday but I’m really pleased I did it. Now that DH is signed off for the rest of the month I should be able to get 3 other sessions in (as long as my friend can go too - I’m not safe to swim alone) which means I should manage a kilometre overall :)

I’m wondering about putting a pedometer app on my phone but I often put it in the buggy or something when I’m out anyway,

Your poor husband cag, that sounds awful. Must be very hard on you tooFlowers - very worrying I’m sure. I had recurrent back issues earlier this year, nothing near as bad as this and I was in terrible form, very depressing. Your health really is you wealth, a cliche cause it’s true!
A pedometer is great to encourage you to move, my Fitbit made a huge difference to my steps - although I hope at some point I can get back to wearing a nice watch!

WreckTangled · 04/01/2019 17:22

I really want a Fitbit but can't afford it really.

Lunch today was a spicy chicken wrap from pret yum!

Dinner was lentil dahl with 4 5 popadoms BlushGrin

Three coffees and only one glass of water so far 🤦🏽‍♀️

Wreck I bought my DD a very fit pro watch (or at least I think that’s what it’s called) it’s really good, battery lasts better than my Fitbit & was around €20 - I just rushed out & bought mine around 2 years ago and I never even checked for cheaper alternatives, lots of choice around now.

H decided it was tonight he would have dc so that put the kibosh on my plans to go to a friends house for women's Christmas tomo night so I treated myself to meal in my favourite restaurant this evening on my way home from work.
Goats cheese salad(beetroot carmelised walnuts, pomegranate seeds, mixed leaves topped with a slice of grilled goats cheese salad) with two slices of whole meal treacle brown bread. I'd 567 calories left.

Meeting a friend for 5k in the morning and I'm going to hit the gym in the afternoon tomo and take dc swimming on Sunday

Yoga done. If you can really call it that. I nearly gave up because I'm so shit at it. But didn't want to disappoint dd. She doesn't care that she can't do it she still does her best.

Managed 10,481 steps today, which wasn't too bad considering I was at training.
Had to get lunch out and there wasn't much choice, really wish I took some with me.

Dinner was nice though, made wholewheat pasta, added tomatoes, tomato puree, mixed herbs loads of veggies and some cheese for the kids, it went down well and have left overs for lunch tomorrow.

I'm still not hitting my protein, but I cannot eat anymore and I think I may not need that much anyway...?

I can remember curvy, are you following team Rh? I don’t necessarily feel I need all the protein but since I get so hungry maybe I do! If you don’t, maybe you don’t. It’s a learning process over time I think
