Eat whatever you like but less. You'll only lose weight if the exercise you're doing is adequate to burn of the calories you consume. If you are eating healthy stuff, then you maybe overeating in the believe that its healthy so ok to have plenty. Just a thought, but it's how I lost 2 stone, by cutting down and only eating when my body asked for food, not mistaking hunger for thirst and stopping eating when my body said it was sated.

I was told by the nurse that walking is by far the best all round exercise you can do BUT you must walk briskly for at least 45 minutes before you will start to burn fat. Before that you are using water (hence the raging thirst after about half an hour) and getting your heart rate up, fat burning doesnt begin until you've been at it till then

To help weight loss exercise needs to have short sharp bursts that increase the heart rate and then recovery.

Also building muscle will help with burning calories, even while resting.TRy a few weight exercises aswell.

i find walking does little to help with losing weight, unless its all uphill and youre pushing a heavy double pushchair!!

running and swimming, and dancing are good.

I can only say that in my experience, when I had no car and no cash I had no option to walk to and from work each day. This was around four miles which I walked in around an hour After a month I had lost 2 inches of each thigh and 13lb in weight. BUT, because I was skint it also corresponding which a fairly drastic reduction in my food intake, so that I was only eating pretty basic portions etc for example beans on toast or jkt potato for lunch and chicken with rice for tea and no fancy stuff. It wasnt the most salubrious period of my life but a heck of a way to kickstart weightloss

sometimes when you know how much effort you have put in and havent lost anything you think why bother

The trouble with putting effort in, is that, if you're anything like me, you wish to reward yourself for that effort and food maybe that reward, whether you're hungry or not ie you've earnt it, so you're going to eat!! BUT, if you're eating when youre body doesnt need fuel, you're eating surplus calories, healthy ones or not. It takes time to get your head round this.

You maybe nothing like that at all Iknow, so please excuse if I am assuming
