Slimfast to kick-start weight loss?

Hi!

I am very aware that 99% of people put weight straight back on when they do Slimfast and it is unsustainable

But my theory is, I get unmotivated when I don't see fast results. Would doing Slimfast for 2 weeks, then eating completely healthy after that still lead to a total weight loss?

If I see an instant result (lets say 5ib in 2 weeks) via SlimFast I know I'll be more motivated to stay on track after, whereas I get bored of eating healthy after a few days when I see no results

Thanks!

FYI, I lost around 3-4lb a week average just by "eating healthily". 13lb in first 2 weeks. 5 stone in first 5 months.

What makes you think you will be slow losing weight when eating completely healthily? You could probably eat fewer calories and be much more satisfied with what you do eat if you are eating real food and re-educating yourself on your biological nutritional needs.

I was wondering about doing this. One of my problems is I'm lazy - slimfast plays into that, not sure if that's good or bad

I have used it to kickstart and it worked well. Had one for breakfast and lunch then a healthy dinner with some fruit in between. Then I introduced a healthy lunch and just had it for breakfast. I'm not a big breakfast fan so I'm happy to keep having a shake.

It's not ideal but it did help me get back on track quickly.

Depends on your starting weight.

I'm currently doing herbalife...not for everyone I know but I am loving it! I have no desire to sell it or buy into the pyramid scheme or anything like that - so not trying to sell it!
You have 2 shakes a day, breakfast and lunch and a healthy dinner, but you also have a morning and afternoon protein based snack. So I still feel I am getting to eat, as eating 3 times a day still! I initially was going to do it for 2 weeks to kick start a weight loss however I'm not almost 2 months into it and don't want to stop! It's so easy, no calorie counting, or weighing portions etc Just make a shake and go!

I've just over a 20lbs and 7 inches from my hips!

So shakes are totally worth a go in my opinion!

Similar to the post above, I’m also on herbalife and was very sceptical to start with! It was initially a kick start to see if I could lose the rest of my baby weight but Iv been doing it since August and love it too! It works for me, when other diets haven’t. Iv managed to lose my baby weight and another 9lbs so far. Any diet/plan is deffinately worth a try, even if it gets you in the right mindset or allows you to lose a few lbs to get you motivated, and you’ll see what works for you. You never know, you might enjoy it and find it sustainable. I deffinately have. Good luck.

I have lost 7 stone through a mix of slimming world, calorie counting, exercise. been playing around with my last stone for ages now and couldn't seem to get a handle on it. Read up on the 16/8 diet and it has worked wonders for me. Curbed my appetite and have lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. Really wish I had found it sooner
