I have just weighed myself and i am 14stone 2. I need to lose this weight I eat so much cake and chocolate cans of coke etc. And I'm a sahm so other than nursery runs I have no time for the gym as my husband doesn't return home at a normal time. What do I do? I drink around 10 teas a day is this fattening?. I feel so ashamed to be this big I live in leggings or pyjamas as nothing looks nice on me anymore

OP, I could have written this post myself, I was just on here looking to see if anyone was starting a new group. I have 4 kids, always up the wall and eat way too much chocolate just to get me through the day!

I'm starting tomorrow and I'm thinking of jointing WW online as the app sounds quite good and links to the Fitbit!

What's your plan? I've done 5:2 in the past and that has worked but I don't think I could do this now so going to try WW just to give me some structure.

@DaisyChops I'm looking to start a group! A whatsapp group would be good! If anyone's into that?

Hi @SlimmingMumOf1, the groups on here seem to work well, I was on one that was good and people came and joined us along the way but it just fizzled out, I think a few of us had the summer off, I did and I really need to get back into it now!

Hey daisychops I will join you on the weight watchers online idea as I can't make the actual meetings atm. I honestly don't know where to start I constantly crave sugar or something sweet and it's getting me down now. I used to walk everywhere and drink lots of water/soups for dinner. But as the kids get older it's going even more up the wall I even finish of there dinners Blush

Hi Anita, I've just joined now, I did the 4 months deal for about £25 which is far cheaper than going to SW!

I'm the same with sugar, I've even gone back to having it in tea which I gave up years ago!!!

Just downloaded the app and linked to my Fitbit so I'm ready to start tomorrow....just enjoying a chocolate digestive before tomorrow comes 🙈

I remember someone saying spray some kitchen spray over any left over food so that you're not tempted.

I think you have to go absolutely cold turkey on the sugar. That'll make a hell of a difference. You'll have a couple of horrible days so be prepared for that, but after that you'll be fine.

Keep a note of everything you eat - that should help, too.

Are you having sugar in your tea?

One good thing about your weight, OP, is that it'll be relatively easy to go down under that stone - that should be a great incentive for you.

I am in the same position as you regarding the children & time. So I bought a fold up excerise bike from amazon. It was only £70, Its great. It has an ipad stand so I watch Netflix while I'm doing it. I do an hour every day monday to friday. I've lost a stone in the last couple of months. My friend has bought one too and she's lost weight.

Well done EK37, I've got a cross trainer at home, I just haven't used it for 3 years!

1st day of WW today, stuck to my points and it was ok apart from the headache I've got now but that's to be expected! Really impressed with the WW app.

So many times I had to stop myself picking at the kids leftover etc, makes you realise all the extra that I've been eating throughout the day.

Hi Daisychops, thank you. I used to have a cross trainer, they are good. Mine broke a few years ago. Only drawback is the space they take up. I tried a running machine...but I hated it! Love the bike, I can fold it up and wheel it back in the garage when guests come. Good luck to you all ladies. We will all get there!

Hey sorry everyone been a hectic few days
hollowtalk that is a really good idea I've been emptying straight into the bin the last few days and I weighed myself this morning I'm now 13.12 it's a little off but it's a start. And no sugar in tea I literally stew the teabag and add a tiny amount of milk but I've been trying to cut down as I can't sleep well at night and wondering if it's the caffeine. X

Hey can I join in please Smile
I'm a SAHM too and got stuck in a rut both with eating and exercise!
Ordered some scales for tomorrow but I'm around 15.6 and size 14. Did SW a year ago but can't afford it now! So counting and measuring calories - aiming for 1500 a day (started today and I'm starving)

Hi all, sounds like you are doing well.

I've been doing WW online from Saturday and I really like it, I weighed myself after 4 days and I'd lost 2lb but I suspect I have put that back on today as I've an interview tomorrow and have just ate rubbish as stressed!

I switched to decaf tea a while ago, and omg, I didn't realise i hadn't been sleeping well until I slept so much better. Those were the days....4 kids later don't think I'll ever sleep through again 😂
