If anyone else is like me, weekends are the toughest days to stay on plan. It’s almost as if the worlds saying ‘hey it’s the weekend, drink cocktails and eat takeaways, go on RELAX!’

So this thread is to give ME and anyone else who needs it the support to think, yes I can have a little of what I fancy today but remember the end goal!

My weekly weight check is Monday morning - much as I moan about it, I could quite easily change it but I don't, because it helps to have it in the back of my mind through the weekend Grin

What are the toughest bits for you at the weekend? Mine is probably resisting evening snacking/drinks. Wouldn't say I've got the answers but these sometimes help: long phone call or Skype to far away friends to catch up, making something (learning to knit, badly), not putting any snacks in the living room then getting engrossed in a good film/book (too lazy to then get up and forage!), or if all else fails, telling myself I can have something in half an hour/after I've finished something dull like paperwork (then mostly the urge has passed).

I had a great week and lost 2 pounds. However, I’ve no idea why, but I’ve snacked today and had crisps and biscuits!

If I have a bad day like today then I won’t let it sabotage my whole diet. I’ve just added up all the calories I’ve had today so far, and it’s only actually added up to 900. I’m not out tonight so i won’t eat any more snacks and I’ll just have a chicken salad for dinner (and not the cottage pie I’m making for everyone else!).

So I guess what I’m saying is, if you have the odd blip or takeaway etc don’t let it ruin your diet, just get back on track as soon as you can...
