The summer is scorching. And so are the Slenderistas. We encourage, nag, support and cheer each other in to lose 7lbs in a month on the Best Thread in MN™️

Great new thread title BOOP. 😊 Happy August!

I start the month at roughly the same point as I started July - happy with that given holidays etc. Still another week or so till I get back onto the wagon properly but glad I have been able to maintain at my interim target.

Thanks for the new thread BOOP!

Starting weight for me: 9.6 (60.1kg).

It’s holiday time for me, and with two weeks lined up in Greece I would be happy to maintain this month!

Good luck all!

Morning all!

Oh Happy two weeks in Greece sounds heavenly, I'm so envious! I've got a week in America coming up, I'm just grumpy because as soon as I get back I'm supposed to be Maid of Honour at my friend's wedding and really don't want to be carrying an extra half-stone like I was last time I got back from America Blush

Happy new thread everyone!

Thanks for new thread BOOP.

Right. I. WILL. LOSE. SEVEN. POUNDS. IN. AUGUST.

Food is fine usually. Exercise is going well. Lots of walking and starting a Rebelfit strength training mission today. Just need to avoid wine.

HappyGowerGirl - very jealous of your Greek holiday. Even though I’m just back from mine!

Quim - sounds like bad timing! Holiday gain usually goes quickly though.

Koko - glad to see you. Damage limitation is ok. Before I went away I was just glad to be losing something. Knew it wouldn’t really affect hw I looked but would def affect how I felt. And it did.

Hello lovely people

Not really sure what my starting weight is. I’ll weigh tomorrow. I’m going to a festival this weekend so trying to rein it in a bit before then.

Exercise abs good going well. Avoiding the booze is also my aim cider

Hello all. Checking in and hoping for a good month. All holidays over with and I'm on a mission to get back into a proper exercise routine.

I was 10:13 this morning so priority one is to not gain and tip into the 11s.

I need to ditch the ice cream and biscuits habit at work too. That's crept back in again.

Would be nice to end the month on 10:10 which is where I was a month or so back.

Enjoy your holidays everyone. Wine

It wasn’t a good July and if I sts in August it will be ok.

Nothing is happening on the flood renovation plan and I keep eating to feel better (but I don’t feel better). I swear I’ll be up for murder if something isn’t done soon! Inefficient bastards.

Will come in tomorrow morning with an accurate weigh in. Loads of walking today and only managed to eat 3 slices of toast the entire day. Was not intentional but probably a good start diet wise. Grin

Neeeeeeewbiiiiiiiies! Hurrah! Welcome Feckers, melt, Raindrop and Jamboree to the Best Thread on MN™! We'll sort you right out. Raindrops well done for walloping the extra 2kg, you can be the poster girl for my much-vaunted but-never-actually-happens-to-me "easy-on easy-off" theory Grin

paws that is maddening that things have ground to a halt when you desperately need them to speed up! I hope you're making a right nuisance of yourself to light a fire under their arses Angry

I'm feeling fairly positive for weigh-in tomorrow, although my steps have been much less than usual this week. Today I've got some errands to run so hopefully lots of steps, then I've got a very boring broth thing for my dinner which was an Ocado substitution, so I can't go too wrong food-wise...

Yay newbies!!!
Welcome all!

paws sorry you’re still having such a chaotic time🙁 sometimes when everything else in my life goes to shit I actually find it healing to be in control of diet/weight loss (because it gives me a sense of control) but I know it’s hard🙁🙁

One bonus of the hot weather...gym is soooo quiet. Only three people at my running treadmill class this morning do nowhere to hide (and one of the others was DP). The other person in the class was a young girl wearing thick jogging bottoms. I felt hot just looking at her! Even my knees were sweating!

Hello everyone, can I join in?
I'd love to lose 7lbs this month.
Not got a holiday planned so hopefully I can stay on the straight and narrow with you lot!
Weighing this morning: 12st Blush should be about 9st, so a bit to lose Envy
Might try and go abroad in November, so that's my incentive.
Just going to calorie count on MFP and try and do some more walking and start C25K again.

Okay so 12 stone here. Fuck. I'm 5"4.

@parklives looks like you're my weight buddy here as I should also be around 9st to be in the middle of my healthy BMI bracket.

Can I dare try to loose a stone this month?!

Just eaten my body weight in chocolate and now I don’t want dinner. Time for another dog walk!

To all those who say I should nag my insurers, my idea is totally the opposite. I made a strong complaint about the long delay a couple of weeks ago (didn’t actually want to complain but my insurers asked me to so that they could officially investigate). Now I am keeping a very low profile so that my complaint gathers evidence of how little is being done. In effect giving them enough rope to hang themselves.

Its not my insurers at fault but the company they appoint to “help” me. I know they have been given full authority to put everything back to how it was with unlimited finances. The man in charge is totally useless and amazingly inefficient and I’d like him disciplined.

I believe the complains process has started because he rang me yesterday asking how things were going. I told him nothing was moving so he said he would ring the company appointed to restore the kitchen. Haven’t heard from him or the restorers but it’s the first time he has been in touch with me without my nagging him.

Maybe I’m doing it all wrong, I don’t know but he’s on a renewable contract and it’s my plan for his contract to never be renewed. ☹️

All this is causing me to eat even more, just can stop eating rubbish. I’m off the wagon until it’s done I think.

Welcome loads of newbies - it’s great here, very positive (apart from me).

Keep up the good work everyone. I do follow you all every day and hopefully I’ll be back soon telling you I’ve lost some weight 🤞🏻
