Gastric Band surgery

Hi all,
I'm due to see a consultant shortly and have a date for a band in a few weeks.. eeek getting nervous now.

Just for a bit of background, I'm 40, 19 stone, completely healthy other than being fat. No health issues at all...yet! But I know they will come if I don't shit this weight. I lose and gain in a seemingly never ending cycle .. I'm hoping this with the support will help me make a change for life.

I know a few people on here have had it done and i of Would appreciate any advice!!

Personally, my consultant didn't recommend the band for someone with as much weight as you have to loose, so I went with the sleeve.
