Maintaining Weight loss

redwinelove · 22/05/2018 11:03

A couple of years ago I lost around 5 stone and now sit between 811-9 stone after 10 years of being super over weight.
I’m finding it a real mental effort everyday to stick to this weight. I’m constantly thinking about it.
Does anyone find it maintaining hard? Is it an effort?
Or has it just come naturally?
Thanks!

Maintaining is hard. If you haven’t fixed the reasons why you became overweight in the first place, it will be a constant battle to maintain. I treat it like a lifetime diet.

Thanks! I think I’m always going to be the overnight person in the slimmer body if you know what I mean. I think I have beaten my old habits but occasionally I slip up then feel like it’s the end of the world. It’s ridiculous!

redwine Look at the Paul Mackenna way of eating. I have lost 3 stone , not as much as you (congrats btw!) but I have to maintain with the diet that worked for me;. Paul Mackenna. I Can Make You Thin. I wanted to be slim not thin and it's worked!!

It's brill because there are no syns or CC or weighing of food etc. you change your whole attitude to food , eat when you're hungry (ONLY) BUT you eat slowly really tasting and enjoying the food, sitting down with a plate etc. not in front of a screen. That way you learn what your body is telling you , the full feeling. and then you stop. Even if you leave food on the plate . There's a thread on here , we're very friendly and supportive!
