I need to stop the slide. I’m now over 11st and it’s all round my waist and face which at 5ft 4in is starting to make me look as wide as I am tall.

Back on mfp and going for 10k Fitbit steps to start off.

Would love some company, otherwise I’ll just witter on to myself anyway Grin

Hi! I'm in with you! I've just started MFP and new regime this wk! I've got 12 wks until our Holiday and don't want to be buying size 16 shorts to squeeze into when I've loads of lovely clothes that are too small :( Back into my 12's might be too ambitious by July but I can definitely get back into 14's - hopefully!!

I'm in.

I have 9 weeks to go til my break and I'm going to try and lose as much as i can as well as increase fitness. I'm on week 7 of couch to 5k and no particular diet just no junk food and trying to eat healthily.

I’m in! Fluffy I’m practically you! I thought I’d started a thread and hadn’t realised Grin.

10stone 12 and 5ft 4. Go on holiday in 11.5 weeks and need to lose around a stone.

I registered on MFP at the beginning of the week and dusted off my Fitbit to increase my steps.

Good luck everyone!

Yay, company!

Well I took 5yo DS swimming tonight and weighed myon the scales. 70.2kg apparently.

I’m scared to google how much that is in real money...

On the plus side, I got my 10k steps for the second day in a row and nearly made my 1200 calorie target. (It’s taking me time to adjust how much I shovel in!)

Well done on weighing yourself! I'm trying to not go near scales but judge myself weekly on a pair of too tight trousers. I'm disgusted at how much rubbish I've been eating without thinking about it!

It was a moment of madness that I instantly regretted because I thought I’d broken the scales. They were held together by sellotape and initially said 50kg!

Yes well done on weighing in. I have no clue what I am in kgs so at least you can decide whether to convert to real money or not. But if the scales were just held together you may want to check they are correct (you could be in for a pleasant surprise). Grin

I think I’m going to have my weekly weigh in on a Friday. I’ve previously done SW and had weigh in on a Monday. Any slip ups over the weekend and I felt it affected my weigh in day so figure I’d do the day before the weekend and then have the weekdays to get me back on track for the following week if I have little treats.

I’ve managed 10k steps Sunday and Monday but only half yesterday as I was working from home. Aiming to get 10k today.

MFP also has me on 1200 calories a day. I’ve been manically trying to add things on to check their calorie content. I’ve been so surprised at the calorie content of some of the things I eat regularly and it has made me make better choices.

Normanisan1sland I am with you on how badly I have been eating. Picking at the bad things and in my head it was just a bit but really I’d been picking badly all day! I have so many clothes in my wardrobe that I cannot wear comfortably.

Good luck today everyone x

How has everyone's day been? I managed another run on the c25k app this morning- another 25 min one which felt ok. Managed to get to the market and get some fruit so breakfast will be more interesting.
Bit carb heavy today with yogurt and fruit for breakfast then leftover chilli and rice for lunch and pasta bolognaise for dinner.

Did successfully avoid the junk food at doom o clock (5pm) so pleased with myself there!

I started this on Monday but think my weigh in day will be wednesday, to allow for weekend slips!

Popsicle 1200 is nothing isn’t it? Am getting through by having a v light breakfast, reasonably light lunch and then filling up at dinner so I don’t scoff leftover Easter eggs come 8pm.

Unfortunately today a potential caterer dropped off a sample sandwich buffet. Willpower is not my friend...

Peggyp that’s fab about your c25k. A 25 minute run is amazing! I danced about the living room with 5yo and realised how unfit I’ve got so upping the exercise is also on the agenda now!

Haha that’s how I feel fluffy and yes agree Norman. I fully expected all my clothes to fit better by now!

Yesterday didn’t go as well as I’d planned due to cake in one of my meetings and peer pressure! But it was the only real bad thing yesterday and I’m back on track today. I’ve done another walk in my lunch hour too so feeling better that I’m more active.

Very well done with the C25k. I should try this but running outside scares me Confused.

Weigh in for me in the morning! Hope you’ve all had a good day

May join please? This is turning into an annual event for me. I step on the scales come April and am like Shock so then I stick to mfp. So I look reasonable for summer. Then the weather turns cold ...

So here I am - Pre children 9st to 9st 7. Currently 11st. 10 by holiday would be nice.

How is everyone doing today?

Day 4 today and a couple of slips- a handful of peanuts, a light cereal bar (I don't really want to snack on processed stuff) and a snaffling of a piece of the kids Easter chocolate. Small things but I know for me is a potential slippery slope. Lunch wasn't great but not terrible- slice of cheese, 3 slices ham, handful pasta and tomatoes and cucumber. Dinner was lentils and sweet potato wedges and one sausage.

Also no time for exercise today and I felt I should rest as I've been everyday since Monday, but I ache and feel grumpy for not doing it.

So not a great day and 3 hard days coming up (where I live everyone finishes work at Friday lunchtime) with scrabbling to feed everyone and influences of husband and children...
Good thing is that it's veg shopping day tomorrow so I'll see what the man has but hopefully can get some nice fresh lettuce and salad bits. Hoping to get some stuff for roasted Mediterranean veggies too that I can keep in the fridge for lunch.

Welcome MrsPear. Very similar story to you. Winter I put on weight and then try hard to get down for summer. I’d like to get to 9st 12 as that was my weight four years ago before I got pregnant and I’ve never been close since!

My dinner wasn’t as good as I expected tonight. Went to MILs for dinner as she’s had my little girl today and we had salad and chicken (all good) and then she produced a trifle! I had a little bit. I’m definitely being better and am trying to manage my portions which previously was not even considered. I have cut down/tried to cut out snacking on crisps and chocolate and having a piece of fruit instead.

I at least know that I’ve eaten better this week than any other week in 2018 so far Grin.

I’ll update you on my weigh in tomorrow morning.

Tough day here too! Last couple of days of the holidays and resisting the urge to have gin just because and make the most of not working tomorrow! Also my Mum's birthday today but I resisted cake and haven't had a gin.
I have been doing this 7 min workout in the morning which is a start but I'll need to up the workouts I fear!

First weigh in....3lbs lost.

I’m really pleased with that and hoping the weekend doesn’t ruin it. We are going out for Thai food this evening but I’m just going to try and manage my portions a bit better.

Good luck today everyone.

Welcome Mrspear you’ve pretty much summed up my annual quest! This year will hopefully be the year we turn it around!

Popsicle that’s brilliant! What an awesome start, it’s such a boost isn’t it?

Norman what’s your 7-minute workout? For me yesterday it was running (300m sprint the two flights of stairs) for the train. I was hugging and puffing so hard people were turning round to look at me. So clearly I need to fix my fitness as well as my fatness...

So far so good here today. Had my yoghurt and fruit for breakfast. Should be ok today, but a bit worried about the weekend because that’s when I tend to come unstuck. Have a good/healthy day everyone!

Peggy you could be me, the slippery slope is what catches me out. The odd bit of cake at work, packet of crisps mid afternoon, reduced price cheesecake on offer at Tesco, then I’m doing all of them every day before I know it!

I look back at 18 year old me eating what I liked and not putting on weight and wonder what happened!

Also I was looking at old holiday pics with my 7 yr old - must be nearly 6 years ago as she was a baby and she pointed at my body in the photo and said something like "Wow, Mum, you're so...small then" and then looked confusingly at my chubby tummy! motivation if ever I needed it 😂

Well hello everyone thanks for the welcome. I see we have loss already - well done popsicle!

Got batteries for scales and I am definitely 11st 1 which for height puts in overweight plus I prefer to be closer to bottom line.

Lessons learnt so far - I eat far too many leftovers. I stopped myself three times yesterday. Also who knew that Moroccan hummus from Aldi had so many calories - I ate a tub easily before! Blush

Onwards and upwards. I treated my self - as it is my b day tomorrow- to some gym leggings, trainers and a proper bra. Can’t afford - h would disagree - gym membership so downloaded Leslie Sanford walk a mile -?- as it is my level at the moment!

Good luck to everyone for the week.

Chicken curry - hairy dieters tonight - with the smallest portion of boiled rice. The rest of the family have baked with butter, carrots and onion.

Well done popsicle! Great first week.
mrspear- enjoy the new exercise gear! And I love aldi hummus when in the UK!
fluffy hmmmm cheesecake! The slippery slope catches me every time. I've done umpteen diets and at first the slippery slope isn't too bad and I can cheat a little and still lose weight then whoosh, all undone. This time I'm not doing a diet as such but trying to be mindful of what I eat. I've never been a healthy weight and gain weight very easily (or i just eat a lot of the wrong things...) so trying to retrain myself a bit! Thankfully at the moment where we live the only convenience/ready made food is super noodles and oven chips. Eating out is still a temptation but at home we have to cook from scratch all the time! So not too much temptation. Lots of crisps and biscuits around though!!

Glad I found you all, I need to get serious about this now. I’m doing a bootcamp once a week, logged back in MFP today and have done the level 1 of the 30 day shred twice this week. Had my first baby in November, gained 2 stone and lost a stone and a half of it in the first couple of months but have just started to wean her and it must be affecting my weight because I’ve regained half a stone back! 🙄 Any tips for keeping the weight off when you cut back BF would be appreciated :)
