Join me for that last half stone?

I've been carrying an extra half stone since my holiday this time last year. I keep doing a halfhearted effort and Lasting just a day or two.

Anyone want to join me for a bit of accountability?

Here's why I want to lose weight:

  1. all my clothes feel better
  2. all my clothes look better
  3. I sleep better
  4. I have more energy
  5. it makes me happy
  6. Ir makes me healthy
  7. it sets a good example to my daughter.

Re the last one pre children I was 6 atone overweight. I can see some of those bad habits coming back at the moment and really really don't want her to pick up on them.

What am I going to do?
  8. fill in and stick to mfp
  9. restart c210k and run 3 times per week.

    Come and join me!

I'll join you! I've 7lbs to lose. None of my clothes fit and it's depressing me no end.

I'd join slimming world or something but I can't seem to bring myself to go as I reckon they'd laugh me out of there as someone who is not technically overweight.

Hi Twixes. I know what you mean. I know if I knuckle down it won't take me long and I know what I need to do.

Just been for harvester for lunch & they'd run out of the healthy options. Had seabass and chips instead which is 962 cals! I didn't have a pudding though. Hopefully going to get out into the garden for an hour or two tonight as well.

So far for me today:

Large cappuccino on full fat milk for breakfast
Nibbles on Easter egg Blush
Made broccoli and Stilton soup and had a big bowl (thanks for the inspo!)
Few more nibbles of choc egg
Dinner tonight is roasted chicken legs with potatoes and salad

And I pottered in the garden this morning, nothing very strenuous though!

I'll join you! Not very good at posting regularly though...
3-4kg to lose by summer would be ideal, I have already lost 10 by using mfp and running twice a week, but I fell off the wagon about a month ago!
Today: Porridge with water, accidentally ate 4 shortbread fingers at work (people always bring in cakes...)
Lunch was cod fillet with cauliflower and a potato, school canteen lunches are great where I live!
Dinner will be butternut squash soup and I WILL resist the kids Easter eggs!
Ran/walked 5k it was a new route and extremely hilly HmmBlush

Don't talk to me about the Easter eggs! My two are 2.5 yrs and 9 months, why they got any is beyond me.

Smothered with a cold and will start exercising once it's gone.

Can I join you too please. My summer wardrobe is a size smaller than winter one and all a bit too snug atm.
Can't remember what I have eaten today really, but will start tomorrow. Using mfp and lowish carbs.

Hi Sagely and Gym.

I hear you on the Easter eggs. I have a 6 & 4 year old and even though I asked for them to get no chocolate they had 5 ish eggs EACH. Ridiculous! Obviously I had to help.

Stuck to my cals today and did 13000 steps so quite chuffed with myself.

Woken up to dodgy back so no run for me today.
Full fat Greek yogurt and raspberries for breakfast
Egg and tuna salad for lunch
Not sure about dinner yet. Go on holiday tomorrow so might need to be a little creative with contents of fridge

Evening all.

I had all bran, Greek yoghurt, raspberries and OJ for breakfast.

Broccoli soup and MandS Bulgar and beet salad for lunch.

Butternut squash pasta for tea and we shared a small Easter egg between 4 for pud. Also had to try one of the cupcakes made by the children! 5pm tea is definitely my weak point.

Low on the step count today. Need to go for a run in the morning.

Bad day for me yesterday. Was out for lunch but went for chicken curry. Think it was pretty light as it didn't taste heavy but I dessert was just put in front of me and I only ate half. Definitely went over my calories on wine alone. Back on track today. So hard when I still have a terrible cold.

It's hard when you have a cold Twixes. How's today been?

Egg on toast for breakfast, soup and cheese sandwich for lunch and m&s meal for 2 tonight for me. Went for my first run on a loooomg time today and feel much better for it.

Hi all had a good few days here! Still on it this weekend with a lovely flat 5k run, football with the DC, and sensible eating! I'm considering getting on the scales on Monday to see exactly how I'm doing Confused I only have/had 6 pounds to lose, but I have a major professional exam in 2 weeks, and I'm wondering if I have lost weight due to stress as people have mentioned my weight loss this week... First time for everything I guess!

Well done sagely!

We ended up with a child free night tonight so walked to the local club. Only had two glasses of wine and a packet of crisps. Avoided the Chinese we walked passed on the way home and I've done 25k steps today too!

That's the thing Herculean, I've a baby and a toddler and the sleep deprivation is the cause of all my weaknesses! Horrible cold is still hanging on.

Had an ok day yesterday. Large full fat cappuccino for breakfast, beans on toast for lunch and homemade roast dinner with only a small portion of potato. Then had a couple of glasses of wine in the evening. I always find the weekends the hardest as I like a glass of wine to wind down.

Hercules it's hard with young kids isn't it. The food they eat isn't always diet conducive and I refuse to cook separate meals!

Egg & mushrooms on a bagel for breakfast for me today. Lunch will be an m&s sandwich at the shops and for tea I've got chicken breasts with veg and potatoes.

Been for a run this morning too!

Oh no gym. Hope everything is ok. Are you still in hospital?

So I spoilt last night. I polished off a round of cheese, a bagel and a kids Easter egg. Annoyed at myself but today is a new day.

All bran and yoghurt for breakfast
Butternut squash salad for lunch
Spaghetti bolognese for tea.

Can I join too? I'm tracking my calories and reducing my carbs. Half a stone would really make a difference to how I feel about myself last week I managed to up my steps and run three times - want to do that again this week. Usually blow it over the weekend, so I'm hoping that this group keeps me accountable!

Yes silver waiting for operation this morning I think.
One thing about low carb is that the open offer of toast and marmalade in the parents kitchen has barely registered.
Good to have mumsnet to travel through in the wee hours too.

Best of luck with the op gym and welcome Pilates

Yesterday was ok for me, bit of gardening and I ate

Full fat large cappuccino for breakfast
Homemade Soup and two slices of bread for lunch
Spaghetti bolognajse for dinner and small bit of garlic bread
1.5 Rice Krispie bun

Not amazing by any means!

Doing better today as I'm in work:
Large capp for breakfast
Small Pastrami and cheddar roll for lunch
It made me so thirsty I bought a nestea! (or whatever they are these days)

Still have my stupid cold but tomorrow I'm going to do a zumba from YouTube to get a bit of exercise in. Wish I could run but my back can't take it :( I used to be such a great runner!
