Brilliant! What's your plan? I am thinking shakes blended with a little fruit in for breakfast as I work 7.30-6 so need to be full as I can through the day, then the porridge and fruit for snacks, and a meal bar at lunch. I'm praying I don't get peckish lol xx

Hi I have started today too, wanted something easy, no planning etc. Need to lose a couple of stone. I'm going to do shake for breakfast, take a decent meal to work for lunch and a meal replacement bar in the evening. Hope we can keep in touch on here to keep each other motivated :)

I was thinking today of perhaps doing the meal at lunch time on the days I'm at work.. I work full time hours over 4 days so think that will work best. The golden syrup porridge is really nice! Are you using slim fast snacks? I got weight watcher ones as they were cheaper xx

That sounds good. Stupidly Iv eaten loads today in a miserable attempt to eat all the bad stuff in the house. Tomorrow's start weight won't be good lol. Xx

😂😂 I have done the same! Thinking that if I eat it all today I’ll weigh more and my first weigh in I will loose more!? 😂

Good luck today ladies! My weigh in wasn't as bad as expected - 163.8lbs. 23.8lbs to lose. Let's do this!!! I'm cheating a little today already- my morning shake has 5 frozen strawberries and coconut milk in as I had a carton to use up. Xx

Can I join? Will be starting mine Thursday when my food shop comes but am planning on being good in the mean time.

I’ve used slimfast before to prepare for my wedding and did lose weight easily on it. Struggled to keep it off but not sure if that’s cos I’m greedy!

I've been doing it since last Monday and lost 4lb this week. There's a great group on FB (slimfast challenge uk) I'm on which has loads of great tips and meal ideas on it 👍

I'm doing shakes / bars midweek and calorie counting at the weekend up to around 1400 and it's really good. First few days are the hardest but it's fine now and I'm not constantly hungry.

Been a good day today thanks. Having a Koppaberg for my weigh in treat. I was also planning on having a little bit of chocolate, but for a chocoholic who has gone a week cold turkey, in actually not in to it that much!!

Hi! I've just started having shakes & an apple or banana at lunchtime, with muesli & fruit b'fast & normal but reduced portion sized meals in the evening.
I've followed SW in the past & lost loads, but as I'm chronically ill now it doesn't suit me so much, so I thought I'd try a bit of SF. Aim is to lose a stone or so (done 7lb already).
I'll be following you hardcore SFers with interest!

Do you mind if I butt in? I started slimfast a week ago and Iv put on 2lb. I’m now officially my heaviest Iv ever been (top end of healthy bmi for my height) I do well up until late afternoon.... I eat for no reason....

What does anyone think about the amount of sugar in the bars and the shakes? I can’t work it out as to wether it’s alot? It’s obviously more than I was eating before so I’m not sure? I’m giving it one last week....

What do you eat in the afternoon? Sometimes it's lower blood sugar that makes us crave stuff then; perhaps snacking on something filling, but not too calorific, could help - such as a banana & a couple of brazil nuts - plus a big glass of water. (I say a couple of nuts because that isn't too many; if I have a packet with me, then it's almost impossible to stop!)

Best wishes for today, everyone Flowers

Oh and re the amount of sugar - whilst it's not ideal, I consider it a trade-off for losing weight this way: we have to have some energy in our foods after all!

I am severely disabled but do manage a little exercise about three times a week.
On Cambridge week 4 and have lost 11lbs so far but plateaued last couple of weeks Asi moved to step2 which has been three bars and a 200 calorie meal. I reckon with milk for tea and coffee I’m about 900 calories a day,
.im about 11 stone now and before disability and menopause was always just about 10 and size 12.
I’ve 7 weeks to holidays, what ideas have you lovely lot got to shift last stone?

Morning all. So I’m on my 3rd day. Weighed this morning and already 3 pounds down so I’m really pleased with the first couple of days results. Been doing a hr walk each day too. And found I’m not starving so that’s a bonus. Sounds like u are all doing well too. Have a great day 😃

Wow @FinnyHaddock well done on your loss!
It isn't unusual to plateau for a while, kind of like your body is consolidating, getting used to this new, improved size & shape. Maybe it's time for a different approach for a while?
What movements can you make & can you turn those into an exercise routine of some sort? Could your health care professionals offer any input here?
(I've been given some exercises by pain clinic physio & frankly am crap at doing them.)
I'm not very familiar with the Cambridge, but could you add in some low cal & high fibre extras to give your digestive system a boost, such as raw celery & carrots to munch on?
