Several stone to lose and PCOS - how can I do this?

I’m 22 years old, 5 ft 11 and weigh about 18 stone. After having my coil removed I’ve lost a few pounds but need to lose several stone.
3 years ago I managed to lose 5 stone by just cutting out snacking and not eating as much and doing a bit more walking. Where we live now I hate walking around outside and I’m so depressed I don’t have the “get up and go” to go out walking.

Going on holiday in May and would like to have lost a little bit of weight by then if possible.
I HATE healthy food! I hate literally all veg, don’t like any plain snacks and don’t like drinking water. I’m a very fussy eater and have no idea how to lose the weight I have piled back on.

Has anybody got any tips or tasty healthy meals? I want to be slimmer and wear clothes I feel nice in and of course I want to be healthier. Due to PCOS I hold a lot of weight around my stomach and hips. If I just exercise a bit more and stop eating so much crap can I lose weight?

I’m at the end of my tether after seeing a video of myself at a party and I cried because I looked so huge.

I follow beckypcosandsprouts on Instagram. She’s doing slimming world and has PCOS. She posts a lot about foods to avoid if you have PCOS. It’s very interesting.

The best way I've found is going very low carb. A lot of PCOS relates to insulin resistance and by not having sugar you take that out of it. Have lost 2 stone since January.

I have pcos and do the blood sugar diet.

Here’s our lovely thread!

Blood sugar diet thread 9 http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/fasting_diet/3143559-blood-sugar-diet-thread-9

Pop in and say hello and ask any questions!

The diet consists of high fat (healthy fats) such as nuts, cheese, meats, dairy and limits pasta/rice/potatoes/grains and sugar. You can easily eat steak with melted cheese and salad, or curry, or bacon and eggs and lose weight provided you don’t eat the carbs! You can choose to calorie count every day, or some days, or not at all. If you don’t eat much veg that’s ok, you can eat small amounts of the things you do like.

If you have pcos the best thing you can do is control your insulin levels through a low carb diet. I have tried every diet before but this is the only one that has worked for me.

Good luck! Flowers
