Anyone doing the Cambridge Plan?

Is there anyone out there doing the Cambridge Plan? I'm finding the products have a weird after taste and the smell is making me feel sick. They do fill you up but it's like medicine you have to hold your nose and wash it down with gallons of water. I'm going to stick with it though and see if I can find some products that taste ok..

Hi, I'm doing the Cambridge plan. Struggling at the moment as I can't seem to stop eating since Christmas but lost a stone before then!
I don't mind the products now, although took a couple of weeks to get used to. Is it any in particular you're struggling with or just all of them?
I find adding peppers or mushrooms or chicken to some of them help.

I would suggest trying different products, there are so many different ones you should find some that you like.
I did step 2 so I had a small meal at tea time. I lost 5 stone last year in 6 months.

It made me really sick. The texture of the food and the taste were awful to me. I lasted three weeks but cried constantly.

I love the bars and shakes. And the porridge is lovely too

@kellycwp well done that is an amazing loss! I agree, the maple and pecan porridge is beautiful!

Hello! Sorry I didn't check back on this thread. Thank you for the advice. It's going to be 2 weeks tomorrow. I lost 3 pounds last week but had wine last Friday night (3 large ones!) so that's why I didn't lose more. I learned from that mistake and had a hellish hangover which I couldn't get rid of the next day with my shake!

I am loving the strawberry shakes every morning with ice whizzed in. Fills me up until lunchtime when I have a bar. I tried the meals and porridge but hated them so I'm just on shakes smoothies and bars. Plus my real food meal at tonight and that seems to be working well. Not hungry at all and sleeping extra well. Going to stick with it and hope I've lost a few more pounds at my weigh in tomorrow.

I have done Cambridge in the past and felt the same as you, OP! 3 pounds isn't worth the effort for Cambridge when you can lose just as much, if not more, on Slimming World eating proper food and not just adding hot water.

The only good thing about Cambridge is it was good for when I felt lazy. No prep. No fuss just grab and eat kind of thing. Slimming world - there is a lot of prep but if you haven't tried before, I'd recommend as I tried after Cambridge and found it worked better for me

Today is day 19 for me. I'm not too keen on the shakes so I'm mostly doing bars and meals (bolognaise is my fave). So far I've lost 18lbs and am feeling fantastic! I have an appointment for IVF in 23 days and desperately need to lose another 15lbs by then so keeping my fingers crossed!

Evening. I started last week, so I'm on day 5. I've stuck to it so far but am finding the meals a bit weird. I can taste that odd saltiness in everything. I'm loving the choc mint shakes, strawberry and apple bars and I kind of like the spag bol.

The chewy bars and mac and cheese are disgusting though. Anyway, nice to see others are doing the same as me. It's been a long 5 days.

Funnily enough, I hate the chew bars and the mac and cheese too! You definitely get more used to the tastes and textures as it how on though!

I lost 2 pounds this week sticking to plan 2 completely except one glass of red wine. It's put me off... I've lost 5 pounds in total which is great for 2 weeks and my mum has lost 9! I'm miserable though and crave a glass of milk or a potato or an oatcake or a good big salad. One more week...

I know. I'm struggling tonight to be honest. I just want to taste some real food!

Hi, I've lost 14kg so far on Cambridge and am now on step 3. This is my third time doing the diet though :( I love the porridge, chocolate velvet shakes and the choc chewy bars. I don't really like any of the meals apart from the chicken tikka but once I find something I like I just stick to that. It is such a good diet though - it really works.

Fussygalore - you can definitely do it on this diet! Maybe try thinking of losing one stone at a time rather than the whole 9 stone.

Ohhhhh I'm so jealous Annie! I'm still ploughing on. Totally off the spag Bol now though, so that just leaves shakes and crunchy bars. Fun times.

Day 25 for me and I've just spoken to the consultant about going up to step 2 as my weight hasn't moved this week and I'm wondering if it's the sugar... just had a chicken breast with peppers and chilli, was lush to have real food 😍

There are cheaper alternatives out there...........exante, slim and save, shake that weight to name a few. I tried cwp but found it too expensive to continue

Cambridge receive changed its more carbs now so slower losses=you spend more they aren't daft.
Slim and save nice and cheaper and you can have 4 products and it's still cheaper!

Slim and Save and Exante products are cheaper because you don't have to pay for a consultant in the price. But I find having a consultant on call when you need it really helps with motivation.

Had my weigh day yesterday and have lost a stone in two weeks - hurrah! Grin
