Hello, just wondered how long it took you to loose your baby weight and how you did it?

My LO is 10 weeks old, I ended up having a C Section, and I'm still quite big. Tummy is still big and I reckon I have about 2 dress sizes to loose!

Just finding it hard...

TIA

It's only been 10 weeks, be kind to yourself. It will happen in time. With my first I was back in my normal jeans after a fortnight. My second is 2 and I'm still not there yet.

Two years! But I think that was down to having 2 children under 2 and not being able to claw the time. Once I got going it, it was fine. I went for a run twice a week and the gym once a week.
You could start by going for walks?

18 months later, i'm still losing it. and that's only because i've started exercising recently.

Also, there is no incentive cos DP keeps saying he likes big boobs lol.

Please don't put pressure on yourself to lose the weight.

I'm hoping to shift the weight quicker this time too OP. Last time I took up running which is what did it in the end (highly recommend 'couch to 5k if you're not already a runner).

This time I've started tracking calories on MyFitnessPal and will start slowly trying to run again at some point but I also had a section and DD is only 4 weeks old so I'm reluctant to overdo it too soon.

I am 7.5 months post partem and only just started losing. A traumatic birth and slow recovery meant I was not ready to exercise / diet straight away. Plus the sleep deprivation and breastfeeding make me starving!!!! I have lost half a stone in the last month by cutting down on snacks and cooking healthier dinners. I am not being too harsh on myself though - had takeaway last night for example and have the odd slice of cake etc. Be kind to yourself! Good luck!

Hi I'm 16 weeks pp. Didn't put much in whilst pregnant but since he's been born I've put on over a stone. I've been snacking all day on rubbish. I've made small changes, eating move veg, eating meals rather than snacks, getting up and out of the house for a walk every day. Also been using baby sling so it's extra weight. Small changes. Congrats on the baby

However, the main bit of the weight was gone by 6 months both times and then it was just "the last 5-10 pounds" from there on.
I also breastfed for 1.5 years with both and so boobs were a size bigger for a good year both times, which made me feel /seem bigger I think. (Though people's boobs react to breastfeeding in different ways- mine were bigger for a year or so but never got saggy and are the same as pre-baby now.)

Be kind to yourself. Eat nourishing food and walk in beautiful places (if the sun ever comes out). I also did couch to 5 K after first baby, but if I had my time again, I'd have focussed more on strength work and pelvic floor. Specifically designed post natal classes are good - depending where you live there are often ones where you can take your baby along. Then you see real life mums, not just workout dvd ones.

Congrats on baby!

8 months post partum and similar to katniss I have lost about 6lbs through no snacks and healthy dinners/ lower fat options. Need to lose another 7lbs at least to be back to normal but don't see it happening quickly! Congrats on baby and don't be too hard on yourself!

DS2 is 8 months old and I've lost 4 stone since he was born. I'm doing SlimmingWorld and I've got another 1.5/2 stone to go. I am now near enough a stone lighter than I was before I got pregnant with him but after two fat pregnancies, two big babies and two c sections my stomach is still a wrinkled wobbly mess!
