Hi,

I am considering buying Chloe Madeley’s book, it looks very good and isn’t a bad price at all on Amazon. However, I commute to work so was wondering what the recipes are like? Particularly for lunch and dinner. Are they the type of thing you can make and transport to work easily?

TIA! Xx

I'm not doing it but I have been looking at it as one of my friends is doing it and she loves it. She commutes to work and takes her food in with her no issues.

I'm doing it, started last Monday already lost 10lbs and I really am enjoying it.

I've been a proper yo yo dieter that typically has just fatter but on this plan I'm eating lots more food but it's all healthy clean stuff and the book makes it really clear about portions etc.

There's a section for following it at work but also the recipes are portable and easy to do anyway.

Thank you both so much! Sounds like it might be a good ‘investment’. I’m a bit of a yo-yo dieter as well as really struggle to maintain eating healthily so this might help Smile

I lost half a stone on it and didn't particularly have a lot to lose anyway, recommend! It's quite tough as you workout 5 days a week but if you stick to it to the letter you'll get the results.

Sorry just realised this was a few days ago now!!

No problem at all! Thanks so much Smile

I've not bought it yet... worried I won't stick to it and it'll be another failed diet! It's all about my own willpower, but reading it's a short term plan is a little off putting if I'm honest, if I do stick it out for the 4 weeks will only have to stop doing it eventually Confused and then it'll all pile back on/I'll go back to eating rubbish!

No, she says in the book that you can continue doing it, so just repeat the 4 week pattern over 12 weeks or so until you get to goal.

Ah ok that's good, thanks! I've seen some great feedback and do follow her on Instagram so constantly seeing great results photos which is definitely encouraging! Amazon here I come...

Is the food shop expensive for this?

@fruitnfibre I think you may struggle to get your protein in. (I hope it's ok to post this photo)

Thanks Hmmmhashtag I just had a look at the book in Tesco, she does say on the next page I think that you could also use beans, I think I'm going to give it a go, my current diet is too carb heavy any improvement would be a bonus and it's only for 4 weeks might even carry on with some of the principles xx

Oops just re read what she said "rice and beans" are not animal protein substitutes so not a complete protein source .... so looks like I will be having vegan quorn and pea protein powder, i could manage it, bought the book aim to start Monday xx

Brilliant! The more the merrier. I'm happy with the diet, but I will be having a couple of gins on Saturday Grin
I'm really struggling with the exercises - I have fibromyalgia so I'm not very flexible or bouncy Blush but am also going to the gym every day so hoping it will still have the desired effect.

The exercises are a killer! But then I'm very unfit and lazy.

Do you follow her on Twitter or Instagram - the before and after pictures of people following the plan are amazing.

Hello, can anyone give me an idea of what the food is like on this? I’ve looked at the amazon reviews, which are mostly really positive, but I can’t get a sense of what she wants you to eat! Is it body coach type stuff? (Yum - if so i’ll But the book!)

It's carb cycling, so you eat 1 protein 1 fat and a portion of non starchy veg on low carb days, then on carb day (every 4th day) you swap the fat for a carb such as potato, rice, oats.
There's some good recipes or you can build your own meal.
Typical low carb dinner for me is chicken sausages, roasted cauliflower, rocket and spinach with a spoon of olive oil for the fat.

On a low carb day I'm eating::

B. Full fat Fage with pistachios and grated 90% chocolate
L. Tuna and egg salad with olive oil dressing
D. Fillet steak with broccoli mash (made with a teaspoon of butter)

And snacks.

And high carb days:

B. Fat free fage with 90% choc and agave syrup drizzled on
L. Jacket potato with tuna, salad
D. Fish, rice or boiled potatoes and veg

And snacks

Ive not tried the book, as I like low carbing, but I use her app for weights. I'm never sure why she gets a hard time in the press, as I actually think she's quite inspirational. The way that woman can make her body look takes some dedication. She also seems to explain things in a simple way and she seems relatively honest. I'd say I'm a fan. Not something I say often, or of anyone really.Grin

Im confused Elvisola .... sorry it doesnt take much!!
The breakfast you mentioned on low carb days is all from the fats section - I know Chloe also has a similar breakfast in her recipes. But I thought each low carb meal had to have protein, fat and non starch veg - do you add in veg later? I`m starting tomorrow just want to get it right!

Correct me if I'm wrong but-

B. Full fat Fage protein with pistachios fat and grated 90% chocolate this is listed in one of the recipes, it's literally a sprinkling of shavings
L. Tuna protein and egg fat salad veg with olive oil dressing fat - I'm guessing 1 egg and olive oil would make up the fat here
D. Fillet steak protein with broccoli mash veg (made with a teaspoon of butter) fat
