Need to lose tummy fat

And I'm not sure how.
I'm back on my diet and going to the gym again.
But my tummy is just SO fat.
My legs and upper body are not too bad I just can't seem to shift the belly flab.

Any top tips?? I'm not really sure what kind of exercise or diet would help most. My tummy muscles are fairly strong so I think I need to look more at diet?

I'm not an expert but from experience I believe it's sugar that loads belly fat on.

Try to cut back as much as possible on added and hidden sugar in food and cut out alcohol and you will see a difference. Loads of water will help to flush out the system and reduce bloating too.

Thank you. That would make sense because I drink too much and eat too much sugar.

I've been terrible the past couple of months but I'm determined to stick to my diet tis time and cut right back on both

Will def check out the blood sugar diet threads.
Thanks both

Can I join? I’m a mess physically. Have gained so much weight this year and it’s comfort eating due to stress/sleep deprivation and sugar. It’s ridiculous....god knows what I’m doing to my body.

I’d still like to eat fruit and the occasional glass of 🍷 but honestly, if I cut out the biscuits, chocolate and snacks I’ll have made a massive effort.

Try dry January! That worked well for me

I think from what I've read , sugar is much worse than fats. Even worse than bad fats, I'm no expert but this seems to be the case. So sugar, carbs, alcohol - all need to go 😳😳🙄

Hello. I am fat all over but I do carry a lot on my stomach. A few months ago I started following James Smith on Facebook, and I signed up to his Academy. He promotes a calorie deficit, high protein and weight lifting.

I did that for a month or so and noticed my stomach getting flatter, no loss on the scales but definitely felt better in my clothes.

Then I got a virus and was ill for 8 weeks (Still ill now) at first i stuck to the diet side as i couldn't exercise but soon I was just eating whatever.

I am now right back to where I started bit it's made me realise what a massive difference I had started to make, even with the occasional treat and alcohol most days! As soon as I'm better I'm getting right back on it as it really works and I love weight lifting way more than cardio.
