Lonely eating

I'm 80% overeating because i crave physical affection. I'm divorcing amicably (and it's going slowly but going) because my DH will not touch me, at all and this has been going on for years. So I'm really, really lonely. I can take care of some physical needs myself, but nothing can replace being held.

And I'm eating to numb the pain. But what can I do to curb the eating? It's not terrible but the scales are slowly moving upwards, trousers getting tighter etc.

I can't diet because that just feels like more pain - the bad food feels good.

Help?!

It's hard. No useful advice, I'm afraid, but perhaps try to remind yourself that you need to be treated kindly and over eating is the opposite to that. You have my sympathies though as I know how bloody hard it is when you comfort eat Flowers

How busy are you during the day? Do you exercise? Do anything to look after your body?

I'm studying and have kids. I do a bit of cycling to and from school.

I used to be very fit and dance a lot, but I think being physically invisible in the relationship has detached me from my body. I can't keep any exercise up - I can't get a hook to do something healthy for my body.
