I joined slimming world about 2 months ago... I’ve lost 9 and a half pounds as I didn’t go for three weeks due to a bereavement that I struggled with since I’ve been back I just can’t stay on track and I just feel fat I’m now 12 stone 12 pounds and I want to get down to 10 maybe 9 1/2 but I’m struggling a bit... has anyone got any advice on how to stay on track?

hi I went from over 13 stone to just under 10, by only eating when i was hungry, not drinking alcohol and not having sweets and biscuits.

I mean, don't tell yourself that you are 'on a diet'.
If you eat some chocolate one day, its fine, just don't have any more for a week or two.

I hear you OP! I decide to eat healthily, do really well for a couple of weeks, feel good and lose a bit of weight, then find myself tempted by a meal out or go through a stressful period at work and reach for the snacks. It drives me mad!

Oh really? That’s amazing! We’re you a member of slimming world or did you do it alone?

Codlet the thing is I really want to do well but I just can’t seem to stay on track! I think it’s the fact on my lunch break all of my co-workers will be eating biscuits crisps and chocolate ect and always offer it round! I just can’t help myself and then I’ve used all my syns up and I personally then always get fanciful as my grandma would say after my tea
I know what I need to do but I just can’t!! 🙄

I did it by myself ella.
Try not to think of food as 'sin' or syn it's there to be enjoyed.
Practice saying no to your co workers and nibbling on a few grapes or an apple.
Use smaller plates.
If you are used to having eg 5 potatoes, take one or two.
Do not touch wine.
Just kind of 'retraining' yourself rather than dieting, because you have to stick to it forever.
In a coffee shop, instead of eg a large milky latte with sugar , have a sugarless espresso with water on the side. It's much more stylish anyway Grin
You can do it!

Slimming world says you can have 15 “syns” a day so that’s 300 “naughty” calories
I’m just going to stop nibbling at work and have my treats after dinner when I really fancy them! I’ll let you know on Tuesday after weigh wether or not it made a difference! Thanks for all the advice I really appreciate it ❤️

there is nothing 'naughty' about eating, I wish people would stop this, and talking about 'treats' and 'sins'. This is what keeps Slimming World in business.
Just eat normally , but less of it, and take more exercise. It is as simple as that.

You can do this. I lost six stone on SW but for me the key was identifying that giving in to a sweet craving just made me want to each more sweet stuff rather than fix the craving. I now snack on sugary things with a great deal of caution and choose things like fruit and babybel Instead.

The NoS diet. You can fall off the wagon every weekend! No snacks sweets or seconds except for days beginning with S, weekends and special days like birthdays. It has helped me lose 2 stone but more importantly I have a much better relationship with food and have ended years of yoyo dieting. Three plates of food a day, no restrictions as long as it fits on a plate!
Lots of info here www.nosdiet.com/
