Has anyone tried diet pills?

I've never lost the few baby stone I put on but would love a magic pill to get rid of it all. A friend told me today that she uses Clenbuterol and says I can buy it online.

Has anyone heard of this or used it?
I'm not looking for opinions on diet pills I just want to hear what people's experiences have been 🙏🏻

I used to go to a private ‘slimming clinic’ and the doctor just weighs you and gives you however many weeks worth of pills you pay for

The ones that work aren't legal OP. For good reason, they harm your heart. However I did lose a stone in 3 weeks (from 9 to 8 so not even easy weight

I used Zotrim about a decade ago and very easily dropped a stone and a half that I’d gained at uni, but I have no idea how much it worked and how much was a placebo effect.

Tenuate Dospan is a form of amphetamine....not recommended as addictive and have massive side effects.

I think the only recommended ones are the likes of Orilistat.

My experience with diet pills was not good. I ordered some online as was feeling fed up, they were Chinese type ones, and I really had no idea what was in them. They made me feel ill, irritable and generally unwell. Yes they did stop me having an appetite but in the end my friend begged me to stop taking them as she thought they could be dangerous. I didn’t see it at the time as I was young and naive. I now realise what damage they can cause. I managed to loose weight using MyFitnessPal and have kept it off this way. Please be careful as you could damage your heart buying pills off the internet that aren’t approved.

Yeah it does seem too good to be true. Though with Clenbuterol it does seem to work but the side effects aren't nice.

And I agree it's not a smart choice. But I'm still tempted.

Clen is ok if you can get the real stuff, a lot of it is fakes tho.

Phen is good, I think it's what a lady was onna bout above.
You get it at the NSC, go in for a app.. weigh, have blood pressure taken etc and then they prescribe it

Please don’t use clenbuterol and definitely don’t buy it over the internet. Honestly can’t believe someone would be that stupid to consider buying that stuff. Yes you want to loose weight/fat but this isn’t the way.

I would strongly recommend you against buying such diet pills. First of all, majority of such pills are not FDA approved. While they do help in losing weight, they severely affect your body parts like causing Liver damage, stroke or heart attack.

There have been many such reported death cases. Yet such organizations don't stop selling this snake oil. Please do not go for it. Rather hit the gym and lose weight slowly.

I tried the medical Ali ones that the doctor prescribed. I lost just as much dieting as I did when following a nutritionists plan and taking those. Plus the side effects shitting yasel the minute you eat anything with a reasonable amount of fat in really made it not worth it.

I know you want a pill but have you thought about slimming world / weight watchers / Cambridge diets?

There is a highly rated gastric band Hypno app you could try?

Also keep hearing adds for silver link clinics. Could be another one to look into?

I feel your pain. I wish I could take a pill to loose weight too but I know I'm going to have to do it the right way lol.

Amazon - if you want a fairly rapid and dramatic weight loss, try a VLCD - eg LIghterLife, which has group meetings and which also looks at the psychology of over eating

The diet pills like phentermine and it's other brand/generic names are actually banned in the U.K. and have been for at least 10years, so I'm always baffled how these private weight loss clinics are handing them out...

Phentermine isn’t banned anymore. You can only get it on prescription however and NHS doctors won’t prescribe it.

I’ve been on it for 9 days, was prescribed it by a private doctor specialising in cardiology. For the first 3 days took 1 pill a day as advised but I found this was too much for me, I couldn’t sleep a wink. So I’ve gone down to half a tablet a day and it is working fantastically, I am showing no side effects so far and appetite has diminished.

It’s early days for me but so far I would recommend it. I’ve lost 10lbs. I’d say make sure you really research it and be aware that it can affect everyone differently, I may just be one of the lucky ones having no side effects.

No, no and thrice no. Clenbuterol is very popular and in circles like bodybuilding it is taken like candy and treated like no big deal. However, it's a veterinary drug that has never been approved for human use and can have very serious side effects. Also stay well clear of the other miracle diet drug DNP which can very easily cause a very painful death and has taken many lives over the years. Diet pills fall into three categories: snake oil that will cause you to lose nothing other than cash, controlled or banned drugs that can aid weight loss but can also seriously harm you and a very few approved weight-loss drugs like orlistat. If you must use magic beans, stick to the third category only - approved OTC products that you can buy in a chemist, though be aware even they can have certain unwelcome side effects.

The other thing to be mindful of is that with any drug you have to source on the black market (and that includes professional looking web sites if they are selling banned or controlled drugs) you have no way of knowing what the pills you get actually contain or in what quantities. Counterfeiting, faking and home-brewing is a massive industry and the Clen you might buy could be seriously under or overdosed, could have no active ingredient at all or could contain other drugs or contaminants.

You mean an unethical hack after a quick buck. Why on earth would any cardioligist with an ounce of professional integrity prescribe contentious drugs to someone just looking to shift some flab? Out of interest, did you get a prescription that you took to your local pharmacy or did the 'clinic' conveniently fill the prescription themselves?
