Anyone up for a daily food diary thread?

PugwallsSummer · 03/10/2017 20:22

I've been a regular poster on a couple of the threads on here as I had 3 stone to lose after having DD2 back in January. I am only 3Ibs away from achieving this but have found myself on the slippery slope of having a good week followed by 2 binge weeks. I can't seem to apply myself to these last few pounds. As a result, I haven't had a loss for the past 2 months.

The thing that helps me the most is making public what I've eaten as it shames spurs me on to make healthier choices. Then posting weigh in results once a week.

Anyone up for joining me?

Today:

B: an apple and a banana
S: lunchbox portion of cheese
L: 2 slices wholemeal toast with scrambled egg
D: grilled chicken breast, broccoli, beluga wheat and quinoa

W: 1.5 litres
E: none

Congrats on your loss (and on your DD!) Smile.

I was 173 lbs (12st 5lbs) in August which on my 5'3 frame was pretty damn huge and put me in the 'Obese' BMI category.

This morning I weighed 151lbs (10st 11lbs) 😄. Goal weight is 10st.

No restricted diets or slimming groups here, just sticking to 1200 calories a day or less, tracking everything using MFP, exercising 4 times a week and cutting out alcohol completely.

Breakfast: Porridge made with oat milk, half a banana, chopped almonds, drizzle of honey and chia seeds.

Morning snack: chilli rice cake + fat free sweet chilli cottage cheese + sliced tomato

Lunch: Wholemeal pitta filled with homemade turkey burger patty, laughing cow light blue cheese triangle, rocket salad, tomato, cucumber, red onion and sriracha.

Afternoon snack: Low fat coconut yoghurt with sliced strawberries, square of dark chocolate crumbled over the top and more chia seeds.

Dinner: cod fillet baked with peppers served with roasted asparagus.

Plus 2.5 litres water and 3-4 cups of tea.

I've recently lost a stone via the Charlotte Crosby workout but I've started putting it back on again. I can't and will not give up the wine but I do intend to walk more

Can I join? I've got two stone of baby weight to lose even though DS is 17 monthsBlush and then another three after that to get to goal weight of 10st (I'm 5'7)

I'm struggling with all sorts atm and am finally seeing a decent counsellor, but I've always had disordered eating. Mostly I binge but I slip into starving if things get really bad, so for me it's important I eat healthily and exercise!

B - full breakfast Blush
L - piece of toast with Stilton and pear pate
S - chocolate tart
D - 2 beef burgers (no bread) cheddar, tomato salsa, lettuce and mayo, potato and sweet potato wedges.

I really struggle to drink anything at all (part of my disordered eating Confused) so although I only really drink water anyway, I'm going to count anythingas a liquid success!!

Liq - I latte, half a cup of water
E - nothing really!

Not the greatest day!!

I literally have the worst diet ever tbh. Today i have had a bowl of cookie crisp cereal (not mine never had it before today, its my foster sisters) with almond milk around 11 am ish, and at about 5/5:30 i had a packet of ready salted walkers (i dont know whats up with me, i never feel hungry and have no interest in food what so ever, so thats it until i have to let people see me eat something to keep up appearances tomorrow 😒☹️). Drinks wise i have had two bottles of evian water, 2 cups of black coffee and a can of dr pepper. Excercise i have done is usual mum stuff round the house and looking adter 6mo DS, we went for a long walk in the pram and to the park to feed the ducks for about 2 hours, and ive done about 50 squats and 30 crunches and planked since DS has gone to bed. I just cant be assed doing anymore 👍

summer2020 sorry was not aiming to conceen anyone burt rhanks. Yeah everyday today was not even a bad day, (i acutally ate something!!) most days i dont eat at all. Just drink coffe lol honestly my diet is woeful. Its a joke. I literally wat just so DS doesnt twig and can see how to eat haha and to keep up a “normal” (whatever that fucking means) appearance to my babys father and his family/friends etc. I dont have any family. So nobody other than that could possibly notice. I literally hate food it repulses me. I hate the smell, everything. If i make something after trying my hardest i usually just feed it to the dog or throw it in the bin. I hate it i just cant —or should i say dont have the care/inclination— to do anything about it/see someone etc bcos my DS has sooo many problems (wont go into it, it would take weeks to type and months for you all to read) so i just spend all my time/energy/attention caring and looking out for him. And just bieng a full time single mum in general. Its so tough i daint all the time but it is just a endless dark hole that i cant seem to climb out of. It all started after i gave birh to DS, i literally purged and fasted and lost all my baby weight and was back to just under 6 stone 5 days post birth. And i never ever got the gumption or desire to eat properly again and begun to despise anything food related. I just eat to survive really when i feel like my legs are gonna go from underneath me. Its horrible. I loved food once but that feels like a lifetime ago. 🌈

End of my rant 🙂

And i must add before i get a load of shit, when food conerns my DS it is a different story altogether and i obviously cook for him, we are weaning etc and he eats all different varieties of foods constantly as well as all his daily Neocate intake (which is still the dame amount as before weaning as we are only BLW) . It is only when food is for me or im meant to be cooking for me that i cant do it or eat it and i am repulsed. If i know its not for me, i dont care and it doesnt bother me. As long as i dont hve to eat it.

Hi Flatbum
First of all 'big hug', life is tough and people cope in different ways. Your coping mechanism seems to have manifested itself into controlling what you eat. I'm no expect on eating disorders and I cannot offer you any advice on that front but i do think you need to stay healthy. I'm so sorry your having problems with DS, you sound like a devoted mother. However, DS needs a healthy mother so you might get want to see your doctor about your eating habits? Also, fainting is seriously dangerous. If you find it hard to eat anything, consider approaching food in a phased approach. Start off by eating a vitamin with a nourishing drink? That might build up your appetite?
Hope your ok xxxxxxxx
