Right lovely slenderistas -what's your plan of attack for the month?

Quite a quiet month for me socially (apart from next weekend) so I'm going to aim for the full 7 Lindas

I also want to up my exercise. I've been a bit slothful this month

I'm with yas Ladies, let's get moving in October.Grin
I'd like to shift last four lbs and get down to 8.10 but have something on every single weekend so really as long as I STS I'll be ok with that.

Thanks Boop for the new thread and Quimmy for the title 🎃

Thanks for the new thread, BOOP, well done to you and and leesmum for your September losses, you have done amazingly! I shall weigh in the morning but I think I might be down at least a lb - for me, that's a triumph! Fingers crossed. Smile

Hello, can I join? Lost 6lb last month but think I've probably regained a couple in the last week Blush Am 5'3 and a bit, 10st 10 on Tuesday, want to get down into the 9s before Christmas. I used to hover at 8st in my teens and twenties thanks to the rave diet but don't think that would suit me now I'm 41 just as well really as I'm never getting there again

Plan of attack: no snacking, eat mindfully, exercise where possible, don't drink too much.

Hi slenderistas just caught up with the last thread and we'll done to all the lost in September!

Welcome Rich

I sts but am going to continue the no sugar or white carbs into October so hopefully this will be a better month. The weekends are where it all seems to go wrong (as many of you also know) so I just need to find that extra bit of willpower then...

Hi can I join in please?! I've lost 17lb so far, it's taken me all year to do it and put back on 6lb so running total 11lb. (Disgust myself right there!)

I've got my Fitbit and do really well with diet shakes if I can just actually stick to it I'd have no problem...that's where these threads come in!

Hope everyone is ok and good luck for October! 🤞

Can I join you? I am at my highest non-pregnant weight after a rocky few months with hormone changes and a really busy time at work meaning I'm eating crap and not cooking.

I'm 43, 5 ft 6 and weigh 11 stone 11 oz. I had an early menopause at 36 and gained a stone then. Losing it has been like pulling teeth (except that would be a quicker way to lose weight!)

I plan to cut out all sugary snacks, start cooking proper meals again and make sure I do at least half an hour of exercise every day. Even if it's just a walk.

My aim is to get under 11 stone and stay there.

Good luck everyone

Hello! I need this! Please can I join? Smile

I had a baby last December and I'm now 10stone, I'd love to get down to 9 again. I'm really small in height so the weight doesn't look nice on me.

I have never ever been on a diet in my life, pre pregnancy I was a size 8 and I could eat whatever and never gain.

I feel so unhealthy now but I'm at a loss of what to do!

Ooo loads of newbies. You are all most welcome.

ARichVernacular I was 8 stonev7 when I went to uni. Now I’m aiming for 20 stone 7. I would look dreadful below 10 stone I think. I’m 5’ 7”.

Fluff I think I’d struggle to stick to shakes as well. I know a couple of people here have used them. Perhaps they’ve got some tips for you

TheDonald I hope that things are getting better for you. Slow and steady is the best way to go. This thread will surely help.

Bella Congratulations on the baby. What did you have? (Don’t say “a baby”!). Any ideas for what type of diet you want to use. I’ve had great success (4 stone) with counting calories using the MyFitnessPal app. Worth s look? Good luck whatever you chose

Can I join you? Way more than that to lose but it will be a start!

It shouldn’t be to hard if I get my head in the right place and stop eating crap.

Coffee I tend to blow it at weekend too!

Niki you get in the 9's this month I bet 👊

I find excuses too easily so I'm working on not letting myself off the hook, my problem is dd teething and waking for hours at a time, so I start the day shattered and craving sugar!

This thread seems very supportive so will make sure I put back as much as I get out of it! 😂

Thanks BOOP and Leesmum.

What's everyone planning for today? I'm going to do some batch cooking and get some soups in the freezer. My biggest downfall is if I don't take lunch to work I end up choosing my lunch while I'm starving, usually sandwiches crisps, lemonade or smoothie and chocolate at the nearest shop (M&S Food!) around 2 pm.

If I achieve nothing else this week I am determined to eat homemade soup and yoghurt / fruit each lunchtime. That's probably around 3500 calories saved straight away - and around £35!

Oh god leesf wouldn’t that be fabulous. Though I remember an actor (possibly Matthew McConaughey) who had to put loads and loads of weight on for a role, saying it wasn’t as much fun as you’d imagine. I’d give it a good go though!

TheDonald oh I love a soup.* What flavours are you making? I might do some myself now later.* You’ve inspired me!

I have no plans at all today food wise.* Egg based breakfast. That’s all I know. Bf is cooking dinner but that’ll be ok. He’s s fellow dieter who lost 3+ stone last year so it’ll be diet friendly.* He’s a great great cook and a keeper

My usual two soups are variations on Carrot and Sweet Potato and a Pasta and Bean Soup that my mum used to make, but I go light on the pasta these days.

I might try something else though. I've got some leftover chicken, so maybe chicken and sweetcorn?

Morning all! Thanks for the welcome :) No real plans today, although TheDonald I may also make some soup for lunches. Have been feeling very uninspired lately.

I expect a roast dinner is on the cards too. Need to get the kids out for some fresh air, but it's raining...

ARichVernacular · 01/10/2017 10:29

Re. leftover chicken, I quite like a spicy noodle soup: simmer the stock with some soy sauce, ginger, star anise and chopped red chilli, then add julienne veg and chicken. Simmer till the veg is almost cooked, add rice noodles, scoff when the noodles are soft.

I expect you could freeze it pre-noodles and then add them when you reheat in the microwave.

@BitOutOfPractice thank you Smile I had a baby girl!

I was 'kind' to my self all year and didn't worry about the weight but now I'm back at work and surrounded by lots of glamorous ladies I feel very out of place and frumpy Blush

I have no idea about any diets, I looked at weight watchers but it sounded quite complicated once I had read all the rules.

I think I just need to cut out the sweet stuff (my partner runs a patisserie, it doesn't help)

Niki that sucks. Here at Rich Towers we've all had a crap virus that just drags on and on, it hasn't helped with diet and exercise motivation. Get yourself tucked up and get better Brew Flowers
