Dc3 was born 4 months ago and I could do with dropping a dress size to get back to my pre pregnancy size. Haven't been brave enough to weigh myself yet 🙈 but reckon I have at least a stone to go. Also had a cs this time and have a flabby paunch that I didn't have after my other 2
I cook most meals from scratch but eat epic portions and have a love/hate affinity with bread. Also partial to a bit of cake or choccy while
pigging out watching tv in bed of a night
Exercise-wise I walk 3 miles most days, and I'm also breastfeeding so that helps too. Without those 2 things I'd probably be the size of a baby whale by now.
Thinking of doing sw as I've had success with it in the past. Not loking forward to the carb rations though Not really into muller lights or diet sweet things so will need to have a think about treats.
Anyone care to join me?
Oh yes i will. Had dc2 1 year ago and still not back to pre pregnancy weight/ shape. Not sure of current weight - will check tmrw. Back in my old clothes but not looking so good! Also had 2 sections and separated stomach muscles
Lucky enough to have never needed to diet before so no experience of trying to shift weight, but i seem to have no willpower to resist carbs and treats. I am always hungry and being at home most of the time gives lots of opportunity to snack... dp tries to be supportive but comes across critical so some online support would be good
So I had my daughter nearly 12 weeks ago. I put on 3 stone during the pregnancy. The first 2 stone dropped off but this last stone isn't budging. I've always been pretty lucky with not needing to diet in the past so now I'm stuck! I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago & never felt so low about myself ☹️
Started with the healthier eating today. I too am a massive pasta & chocolate lover (not at the same time), so I know I'm going to struggle.
I've heard that the plank is good to help get rid of the mum tum so I've started the 30 days plank challenge & also squat challenge...let's see how long that lasts 😤 x

I pigged out a bit over the weekend but was good today. Need to give up the night time junk but I know I'll miss it desperately

DD is nearly 8mo and I dropped most of my weight and more 3 months pp however I have now put it back on.
I feel like my relationship with my body is getting really unhealthy. I'll look side on in the mirror at least 3 times a day and think I look pregnant again.
I have a holiday in October and want to enjoy it without worrying about how I look!!

DD is only 4 weeks old but I need to get my ass in gear. I put on three stone in pregnancy and have a stone to lose. I'm only 5'0 so any extra weight looks hideous on me.
I've done very strict dieting and exercise regimes in the past but these days exercise options are very limited as I have a back injury for the last 6 years that rules out anything high impact like running, zumba, tae bo. Really sucks.
What's everyone eaten today? I'm going to try my own version of 5:3 as I've had success with that before.
I also had a cs this time @HughLauriesStubble still look pregnant over a month on. Ugh.
Ooh twix you must be my twin, I've a back injury for 6 years that prevents me from high impact sports too. I've been considering going to a specialist pilates course to see if it might get me back to a place where I can jog again.
I must look up 5:3 and see what it's about. I was thinking of doing sw again but it's a bit faff-y so might just do calorie counting. I'm open to suggestions though!
It sucks doesn't it? I looked into Pilates this evening actually and oh my...classes are $$$! And one class a week isn't going to cut it for me, I need to be exercising 3/4 times a week if I can.
I reckon for the time being I'm going to have to get out walking with the pram. Night feeds and lack of sleep are kind of scuppering that one so far!
It's tough twixes. If I don't get a walk every day my back starts to seize up. Anyways, I've given in to temptation and booked an 8 week course of pilates that supposedly will help strengthen my core and ease the pain. Woohoo! Definitely couldn't afford multiple classes a week with the crazy prices. I think the course I'm doing will teach you the exercises that you can continue on with at home.
I'm eating less junk but still haven't started healthy eating. Made a fab salad for lunch but couldn't resist a splodge of mayo on it I keep telling myself I'll start when last week's shopping runs out and I can buy all healthy stuff for next week

I've had a hit and miss start to my diet. Definitely making positive changes though...I ate half a (sharing) bar of dark chocolate rather than milk the other night and I haven't had ice cream in over a week. Previously I was eating a ton every day or couple of days.
I also went for a vigorous walk with the pram today, 5 weeks post c section and I finally feel kind of normal again
But depressingly I put on a t shirt that previously was baggy and casual, it's now beaten onto me, my arms are so much fatter too ugh!
But I know if I keep this up I'll see a difference in 6 weeks...just need to keep up the stamina
That's brilliant twixes walking with the pram literally saves my sanity most days! I'm sure you'll see a difference soon It's upsetting when pre pregnancy clothes don't fit but it's still really early days for you.
Tbh, a lot of my baby weight came off in the first 4-6 weeks but I didn't start to see a difference with my stomach apron until dd was about 12 weeks. Very surprising because I didn't have this problem after my last 2 dcs were born

Can I join? DS is 4 months old and I gained almost 3 stone whilst pregnant with him. 1.5st dropped off pretty quickly (DS was just shy of 9lb!) but I've been stuck at just over 11st for ages (usual weight between 9.5 and 10st, but I'm happier nearer 9.5).
I'm a complete sugar addict and running around after DD (3) as well as dealing with night wakings on my own (DH works away from home 4-5 nights a week so is only around at weekends) means I go for the quick and easy energy options of bread, pasta and cake!
DH and I are doing the Whole 30 diet (6 days in so far), we did it last year before I got pregnant and I dropped 11lbs so I'm hoping for similar results this time. The only drawback of Whole 30 is you're not allowed to weigh yourself until the end so I won't know for sure what I'm losing! I do know that my clothes already feel looser, so fingers crossed!
I'm in. Dd2 is only 5 weeks old so exercise will need to be eased into but I'm tweaking my diet already.

I need this! DD is almost 4 months, I lost two stone in the first month but the last one is being stubborn.
Exercise wise I'm doing ok, one class a week, daily walks and 7 minute workout app on any morning she'll let me (3ish times a week).
My issue is diet, and all the bad habits I picked up during pregnancy. I tried Whole 30 for a few days, having had a lot of success with it in the past, but found it really messed with my milk supply. And once I'd broken one rule it was too easy to slip back into old ways.
I'm in! My DD is 3 1/2 months old. I put on 3 stone, but was a stone heavier than i should have been beforehand (was 2 weeks into 30 day shred when I got a BFP!). I've lost 2 stone, but would love to lose 2 more. DD is EBF, so I find I don't need to diet, just avoid cakes and chocolate (easier said than done). The 30 day plank challenge looks good- I'll start tonight.
Hi hope it's ok I join in I'm still pregnant (39 weeks) with DC2. I put on a friggen massive 40kg (85lbs) with my first child and I lost it all within 5 months pp. the key is resistance training. You need to do weights to build muscle tissue which give you a more efficient metabolism. It will also make your body shapely, whereas cardio etc on its own will make you smaller, but with no real definition. I've put on 18kg this time so I'm glad it won't take as long to lose and I know how to do it. All the best for your journey

Also 4 months pp, and at least 2 stone overweight. Feeling sluggish and sleep deprived and fat BF'ing and constantly starving. I grudge paying for sw/ww but I have no will power right now so may have to bite the bullet. I'm enrolled on an NHS physio run Pilates class starting next week. Still some pelvic/diastasis issues so can't do anything intensive yet. No excuse for sitting on the couch all day though...
I'll join, but I think it will be a while before I can really make any progress.
7 days post partum
Only 2 lbs heavier than my heaviest pre pregnancy weight - which is amazing but need to shift at least a stone to be vaguely healthy.
Have a third degree tear, am breastfeeding around the clock and having side effects from a spinal block which means standing for any length of time really hurts.
My eating is all over the place right now, starving in the night and not that hungry at meal times really.
Weighed myself this morning since I started tweaking and being more active on Tuesday (dh are going to weigh in every Sunday morning) and I've lost 2.7 kilos. I'm weighing kilos because I don't have the same negative connotations of stone and lbs (sounds weird but makes it more just about numbers to me).
Quite chuffed with that!

And hello to everyone else, I thought maybe it'd be just @HughLauriesStubble and me posting for a while.
I was doing really well during the week but yesterday was a complete write off; I subsisted on biscuits, ice cream, chocolate, cake, take away and wine 🍷. Complete diet fail. Have a family do today which will be hard but I know tomorrow I'll be back on the wagon!
I plan on using Friday as my weigh in day as I expect I'll be a bit lighter after dieting weekdays, I generally slip up a bit on weekends and I normally treat myself to wine on a Friday and Saturday night.
